Hello,

Im trying to burn both an .ISO file (a dvd5 so size is not an issue) and a Video_TS folder (again, dvd5), however ImgBurn is giving me troubles.

I know I can burn dvd's as I've done it countless times before. I'm using Sony DVD+R's (I already burned 4 of this dvd type before it started giving me an error.

Here is the log after I put in my dvd:

I 13:53:47 ImgBurn Version 2.5.5.0 started!

I 13:53:47 Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 3)

I 13:53:47 Total Physical Memory: 458.224 KB - Available: 115.500 KB

W 13:53:47 Duplex Secure's SPTD driver can have a detrimental effect on drive performance.

I 13:53:47 Initialising SPTI...

I 13:53:47 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices...

I 13:53:52 -> Drive 1 - Info: DTSOFT BDROM 1.05 (E:) (Virtual)

I 13:53:52 -> Drive 2 - Info: HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GWA-4161B 1.01 (D:) (ATA)

I 13:53:52 Found 1 DVD±RW and 1 BD-ROM!

It still gives me the Device not ready medium not present error..

Anyone know what's wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Switch to read mode with one of those "non working" discs in and post the info from the table "Disc Info" in the right side of the program window.

Okay, I switched to read mode, but where is this "Disc Info" I can't seem to find it or I'm just being stupid. On the right side (below the X to close ImgBurn) I see a program window but it only reads:

DL-DT-ST DVDRRW GWA-416 1.01 (ATA)

Current Profile: N/A

There won't be any info in that box if the drive can't initialise the disc.

Just eject and reinsert the disc until it actually works.

Note that this is a hardware issue and nothing to do with ImgBurn.

Cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc may help.

Ok, I'll also try to eject and reinsert the disc, hopefully that helps, thanks for the help so far, both of you. :)
