Disable files creating subfolders when files are added

Hello,

( working in DATA DVD -MODE )

yes, sometimes it may be a good way to create folders and subfolders automatically and place the files in there (complete Data backups) -

when dragging selected files from a File Explorer/TotalCommander.

But not in any case.

Specially when I add files from explorer to "root DIR" of a project I expect to find them placed where I dragged them to (f.e. in root) and not hidden in folders and subfolders - as they are lying on my harddisc. At moment I have to move (drag) the fiels out of them to root by manually and need to delete the unwanted (sub)folders any time I am dragging files on the list.

That costs time.

Is there a way to add the files directly to wished place - by setting a checkable option checkbox in OPTIONS, yet ?

Which I didn't see?

Or please could it be added to options in further versions.

And an UNDO-Function for dragging (adding and moving files, creating , reanaimg , deletiing files and folders, etc. in DISC-LAYOUT-Editor would help to increase working speed)

I hope you could read and understand my problem and concern - I am sorry, my English isn't best, but I am working on it.

I would be very happy if the could found a solution.

Many, many thanks - For the software program and at all.

ahh, OK, the tabs on the right side/panel.

yes .. now I find it ...

I looked now for it in =>Tools=>OPTIONs' tabs.

For a general option.

Thanks.

Yes, that is a quick way. Makes sense, too.

I saw it when I browsed through all options when I started IB first time, but I did not expect it there anymore.
