XGD3 problem at layerbreak (49%)

Hello everyone.

I have a problem burning a backup copy of a xbox game. I actually tried different ISOs.

The media I am using are Verbatim DVD+R DL with mediacode MKM003; I don't know where they were made though because I removed the label from the spindle.

The burner I am using is a Lite-on iHas 124b with iXtreme Burner Max firmware. I would like to point out that after a few failures I decided to crossflash to model number 524b. Using the latter, I decided to modify the mediacode specifications from MKM 0a3 to MKM 003. I haven't been able to obtain working discs with both firmwares.

I also tried different settings as suggested by many relevant users in the scene (Lightning UK included).

I am attaching a log that might be useful to assess my problem:

*** The burner reaches 49% and has problems with the layerbreak.

I failed to burn 5 discs so far. With differents settings for my hardware and software.

Only once I reached a 100% burn but was unable to verify the disc with DvdInfoPro (got until the layerbreak and then froze). The disc was unreadable with the console.

Thank you for your help in advance.

Ok, thanks a lot. I tried to get informed before posting but I see that there is no answer to my why.

Then I tend to guess that I may have either a faulty dvd batch or a defective drive. Hopefully the first one.

Thank you for your time anyway.
