ImgBurn v2.5.7.0 : Failed to Read Sectors 0 - 31 - Reason: No Seek Complete

Hello!  I have this message in case of record of images of disks (Windows 98 Second Edition 4.10.0.2222 [Russian];  and Windows 98 IF http://depositfiles.com/files/k7qp2n56m assemblies the password on:98IF12-maxi archive.  Home page:  http://bust.narod.ru/98if-history.html) at a stage of check of the written image:
(Failed to Read Sectors 0 - 31 - Reason: No Seek Complete) in a log of a program runtime and is given at the end the message on successful operation and music of successful record. I used CD-R Verbatim (Extra Protection) I wrote at x8 speed.

 

This message with an error appears in case of record of these two images.

 

In case of record I disconnected all antiviruses and programs and I deleted all virtulny drives and programs of emulation of the virtual drives and the SPTD driver .

If nothing works, you can try cleaning the drive or buying better discs (Taiyo Yuden).

here I also think in what a problem. all disks were from one box of CD-R Verbatim and I checked them the Nero DiscSpeed program a surface of disks was without errors.

If that's the case, you should be able to Verify them now and they won't cause the drive to report/return an error.

 

There's only one way to read a disc. If it works in one program, it should work in all of them.

I ran a check disk recorded with this error separately in Imgburn and no errors found.

So then your drive just seems to have a problem verifying discs after it's just burnt them.... maybe it's heat related?

I checked with the error recorded discs and disc recorded without errors Ultraiso program. Hash sum of disk images and recorded discs are the same. And test them in Nero Distsspeed disk errors present.

Yes, I think it's a false alarm even though the program just can not say. When checking the recorded discs their hash sum equal to their images. So it seems like a false positive or a bug in the program. although it may be something on my side of the virus, or something with the computer.

I reinstalled Windows XP and a similar problem was gone. The problem was either in windows (viruses, bugs in programs or something like that) or defective CD-r Verbatim (made ​​in China).

I am getting this exact same warning message "Failed to Read Sectors 0 - 31 - Reason: No Seek Complete" when verifying a burned ISO image using ImgBurn 2.5.8.0.  No other warnings/errors in the log.  I too am using Verbatim CD-R made in China!  It happened with 3 CD-Rs already (tried burning at 16X and 24X), I even tried one near the bottom of the stack.

 

When I run Nero CD-DVD Speed Disc Quality test on the CD-R, it looks perfectly fine (quality score 97).
