Bluray data disc and UDF

Hi,

I recently purchased a Pioneer BDR208DBK with Verbatim HTL BD-R media for long term data archiving purposes. I having been burning data files to bluray discs successfully with no problems.  However, since some of my files were larger than 4GB, Imgburn recommended me to change my disk format to UDF.  I left the settings on default UDF version 1.02.  I understand that 1.02 has the best compatibility as all OSes can read it.  I did some researching for which UDF version is best to use and came up with mixed answers.  Most say 2.50 is recommended for bluray videos but that doesn't apply to me as I'm only burning data files.  Some recommended 1.50 for data files, but never explained the reasons why it would be better.  Would someone be able to explain the advantages and disadvantages of each version of UDF in regards to burning data files to bluray discs?  Should I jkeep it on the default 1.02 or go for the higher ones and would this have any effect on the integrity of the files burned?

Thanks.
