I'llt belgian too but mine's excellent. Did they stop starting to teach English from age 11? For me that was 14 years ago. Support is via forum only.

That said, step 1 would usually man to read the forum rules ( pink box up top) which would ask your for the full imgburn log, not a badly readable image. However the image is good enough to see your using cheap crappy RITEK based blank discs. That's about the worst brand of blanks you can get.

Get a better brand of discs like the best one there is like verbatim (but the datalife plus type you can only find online, not the outsourced store bought 'life series') and the problem should go away.

Now if your do not fully understand all that in English, I can say it again in NL provided@lightning UK will permit it side the default forum language is English only.

Hello,

The first writer may translate it to Dutch but it is not so nice to tell to people that their language is not good, I didn't ask you to translate it into Tamil.

So far so good but not a good impression when you come here for the first time.

Dbminter about the same answer of

Ch3vr0n but it is strange that it worked for many years and now not anymore.

Is it realy the dvd is not good, because I could wright data with ImgBurn on a dvd and that was not a problem, so there must be some other reason, don(t you think so?

I'm going to buy the dvd you told me to buy;

Thanks,

mdc1756

BTW: I don't find the pink box up top

and the image was good, never heard about programs to enlarge

If you've used these discs before without problem and it suddenly starts failing, then the problem is your drive.  It probably needs replacing.  How long have you been using these discs and this burner?  It could just be you got all the good discs in a row and suddenly you're getting all the bad ones.  That's the nature of iffy media.  Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

Switching to higher quality media is always the first step I recommend.  More than half of the problems we see on this board are caused by dodgy media.  Most of these problems tend to go away when you switch to higher quality, genuine, non CMC Verbatim media.  It's not the end all, be all solution, of course.  But, it will isolate if it's a problem caused by cheap media or not.  If it still happens on higher quality media, then the problem is most likely your drive.  It probably needs replacing, especially depending on how long you've been using it.

I didn't say it was bad. Just a question as to why it is what it is. Been 15 years since my last school day that's all. Your English is perfectly understandable.

Now, 1 batch of discs isn't the same as another, even if it's from the same brand. Especially when it's a (for us more experienced users) known cheap crappy type. You're using an LG drive so it's probably gonna go away when you swap discs. I'll see if I can't locate a couple webshop's tonight that ship them (selling is no problem, shipping is another matter thanks to that damn auvibel tax).

Start with the blanks, I doubt it's the drive.

Though i buy mine usually in germany

DVD+R DL 25st printable https://www.computeruniverse.net/en/verbatim-dvdr-dl-85gb-8x-inkjet-white-25er-spindel

That's just 2 of the ones i have bookmarked.

And for reference between good verbatim and "outsourced cheap CMC crap verbatim"

BAD: life series https://www.computeruniverse.net/en/verbatim-dvdr-dl-97693-wide-1x50-8x-speed-85gb-life-series

GOOD: https://www.computeruniverse.net/en/verbatim-dvdr-dl-85gb-8x-50er-spindel

How to spot the difference then? well take a look at the packaging. The first one is white/blue, mentiones life series, does NOT have the quality "AZO" dye logo and is rather cheap

The good ones have the known blue/purple packaging and if  you'll look in the bottom left corner you'll see a small logo "AZO" where the O looks like a disc, and they're nearly double the price of the bad ones. (Quality has it's cost!)

There's also the fact that the good stuff uses a Media IDentifier of either MKM-xxx-xx or MCC-xxx-xx (notice the difference between the bad stuff CMC-xxx-xx and MCC-xxx-xx, only 1 letter different) for DVD's or VERBAT-IMx-xx for BD's

See this link http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?/topic/25337-invalid-address-for-write/&do=findComment&comment=162764

for the proper media identifiers of the GOOD verbatim discs.

I, too, have commented in other posts the deviousness of CMC.  I do believe they purposefully chose their name because MCC media was the good stuff.  And I think MCC is supposed to stand for Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation?   Then, for DVD+R DL, Mitsubishi changed the DID to MKM for the Kagaku in the name Mitsubishi Kagaku Media?  :unknown:  CMC never predicted the name change and were screwed, stuck with their old name!   I'm surprised they didn't change their company name to something like KMM to compensate.

Leave the troubleshooting information in the original post.  I'm most likely to forget tech support via private messaging.

If you're having trouble with burning an ISO and nothing else is problematic, the first thing to do is recreate the ISO into a new ISO and try that.  It's rare but sometimes ISO source files can be the problem.
