I've got an idea of the culprit, which LUK is probably thinking of, too, but we'll need to see the log to determine it.

 

ImgBurn probably thinks the disc is not empty because it isn't.  Most likely, data was written to the disc but the burn failed.  Even if the write fails to complete, data was still written to the disc.
