Cannot playback burned DL disk

cupcake

Recommended Posts

I've been burning DL disks for awhile but lately I've been encountering problems with the disk not being able to playback (ie pausing, blocks, etc) on any of my players. Here's a log of my last attempt. From what I see, the book type isn't being set to DVD-ROM, however it is set to that in the change book type setting of ImgBurn. I can't figure out this problem and any help would be appreciated, and yes, I am using Verbatims.

Not that I think it matters since I never changed the hardware, but I have a Dell Dimension 3.00 GHz w/ 512MB RAM. I don't have any problems with SL disks nor have I had any problems with DL's before. It is possible I have a bad batch of Verbatims and I'd rather make sure it wasn't some software thing before I waste anymore (already gone through 5). I'm just concerned about the fact that the log shows (Synchronizing Cache, Closing Track, Finalising Disk) instead of writing Lead-Out. I don't recall it doing this before. I've also included the final disk info from ImgBurn for the disk that didn't work and one that worked fine a couple months ago.

The non-working disc doesn't appear to have been closed/finalised properly. It's status is still 'Incomplete'.

ImgBurn never mentions anything about 'Lead-Out', you're getting confused between different programs.

'Closing Track / Closing Session / Finalising Disc' are the terms used by ImgBurn.
