here is the info from dvdinfo pro

it says at the top chose a book type the circle in on dvd +rw

current settings says

current = dvd+r

Dvd=rw = dvd -rom

Dvd +r = dvd-rom

so im trying to figure out what my current book type is not sure if it is not -rom can someone suggest a drive to buy that supports bitsetting as this memorex drive I have does not support bit setting. I prefer pioneer or plextor but if there are better ones please help me out im just using the burner to burn my 360 backups.

Thanks

J.T.

If you've already burnt a DVD+R (SL or DL) and/or a DVD+RW with your Memorex drive, put it in, change ImgBurn to Verify mode, disable 'Verify Against Image File' and click the (big) Verify button. At the very start of verification, ImgBurn will say, in the log, which booktype was written to the media.

Pretty much any new burner supports booktyping. Anyway, all the drives listed here support booktyping:

If this disc was burnt with your Memorex drive, it's already properly booktyping.

I 20:30:22 Source Media Type: DVD+R DL (Book Type: DVD-ROM) (Disc ID: RITEK-D01-01) (Speeds: 4x)

That's a bad media. The only good DVD+R DL media today is Verbatim. Try and get some and you'll never have problems. Also, burn it at 2.4x for the best possible results.

It was a media issue Thank You very much. I went to the local Best buy to purchase a 5 pack of verbatim discs. Got home only able to burn 1 backup and it worked great. My nephew was able to play 2 games. I will now only be buying verbatim discs. Thanks for all the help Everyone.

Thank You

J.T.
