How do I get my burner added to the ImgBurn Supported List

I have a ASUS DRW-1814BLT, it is a natural burner, meaning that its not a Pioneer its an Asus made burner.

It has BitSetting, and OverSpeed, but ImgBurn does not support it, infact I have been getting bad burns with ImgBurn.

How do I submit the information needed to add support for it?

Mediatek MT1899LE

just jotting this down whilst i search more

MediaTek MT1899LE loads the main tip/chip. However, opposing with expectation, with KProbe it does not operate. (With Nero CD-DVD Speed it is possible)

● Interface clear at 2007 January point in time valuable S-ATA (wiring)

● The S-ATA conversion baseplate it is not to use, it is private designing from the printed board.

● As for the attachment software necessary ones have belonged entirely. Because (however, the Pana make RAM driver has not belonged, when adhering to there, once note)

● (Being the same) as LITE-ON LH-18A1P and the like of MediaTek loading, you read the offset value which is set with EAC and, (- 24) write (+24)

However, the disk first 24 sample of music CD cannot be read (different from) LITE-ON LH-18A1P and the like of MediaTek loading. (You can read LITE-ON LH-18A1P and the like)

● To TYG03 speed you cannot violate cannot write in. (The drive which speed you cannot violate to TYG03 is unusual, is)

18 time fast entry as for being possible, the maxell ?R 16 time speed, Mitsubishi +R per 16 time speed.

● As for DVD?R 6 time fast entry non correspondence.

If it is possible, desiring the support of 6 time fast entry to DVD?R.

● The disk quality test of Nero CD-DVD Speed once operational possibility. However, in Jitter measurement non correspondence.

● KProbe 2.5.2, DVDScan 0.04, with DVDINFOPro 4.238 it does not operate.

● By the fact that 12 time fast RAM media of maxell is used, 14 time fast entry to RAM (speed violation) is possible. As for speed in 14 time fast fixing, it cannot drop into 12 time speed.

● As for reading speed of 12 time fast RAM media of maxell 12 time speed. Because of that, perhaps the entry with verification included balance it is bad.

● By the fact that Nero CD-DVD Speed is used, modification of the setting of BookType being possible, also it is possible to rewrite the DVD+RW media BookType.

* Verifying both which to ROM converts 1 layers DVD+R, does not do possible thing.

* As for 2 layers DVD+R, to ROM only the burning which is converted verification.

● Color of the tray secure black.

● With CD Manipulator and Exact Audio Copy together entry possibility.

● With the love letter of the dawn problem it does not occur.

Maybe nero cd speed can set booktype or even try the Liteon tab in Imgburn and see what happens

have you got firmware 1.10 in if not ftp://dlsvr02.asus.com/pub/ASUS/ODD/DVD-R...14BLT_FW110.zip

With what have you tried to set booktype with ?

Quite right, too chewy!

The program doesn't (shouldn't) need updating for burning to any drive. That's the whole point of a 'standard'. Hardware follows it + software follows it = both play nicely together.

As for booktype / advanced settings, I only add those if it's worth it and possible for me to work out the commands. Of course for that to ever happen, I need to buy the drive and I'm really not fussed about buying an Asus one.

Let's approach this in another way: please state the problem(s) you're having with ImgBurn and also please attach a log of a successful/failed burn (they can be accessed in Help/ImgBurn Logs). That'll help us help you

The good news is it's auto booktyping to DVDROM anyway.

The bad news is you're using RITEK DL discs and everyone knows they're awful. Use Verbatims instead.

Even then, I don't know if your drive will burn them any faster than 2.4x - that fact that it's the year 2007 doesn't really come into it!

You also need to update to ImgBurn 2.3.2.0.
