I have tried the cheap Memorex and it recognzed about 25% of them. Now I bought the more expensive Verbatim 2.4X DVD+R DL (MKM001) but they are not recognized at all. My drive is NEC DVD+-RW ND-3530A with 104C frimware (latest). The drive recognizes single layer discs and CDs every time. I use Win XP with SP2. I have successfully used the Memorex disks, but usually the second layer has some dropouts. I am wondering why the Verbatims are not working at all. If you recommend a new drive please suggest one.
