Failed to send cue sheet (Oh no!!)

Hi and welcome to the forum, JolietJake! :)

Try to change this

Main Menu -> Tools -> Settings , and then in the tab 'Write' change the setting for 'Write Type' to 'TAO' and give it a new burn try. (Don't forget to change it back to default value after the burning try).

Not sure it will work. CUE files are not my cup of tea.

i remember a lot of people having some issues with that disc.. if i remember right doesnt it have a ton of blank space then some hidden tracks?? if so this may be a burner issue regarding reading the lead in/out on the original..but i could be wrong..

what burner do you have? edit nevermind i see it in your log..

open a command prompt box.. you can choose the run command from start, then type cmd and hit enter or okay...

now go to "my computer" and find the directory where they are on your hdd (the folder). for instance (this is a example they will not be located here on your computer) if they are on drive f: in the windows then setup folder you would type f: in the black command box and hit enter to switch to the f drive

then the next line will show the F: prompt.

now type cd\windows\setup (for this example)

then after you hit enter the next line should look like this:

f:\windows\setup> (again this is a example) now type "dir /p" and hit enter this will give you a list of each file in that folder and the size will be listed next to each files name on the opposite side..

if i can be of more help lmk.. its really pretty simple

ok so you need to then get into the 'Tool - Aenima (1996) [FLAC]' folder so I can see the file details!

Start -> Run

cmd

Click ok.

Then type:

F: (press return)

cd "\Tool - Aenima (1996)\Tool - Aenima (1996) [FLAC]"

dir (press return)

Ok I see the problem now...

It's where EAC adds gaps to the end of the previous file, but after doing a dummy decode pass on the file to get an accurate duration, it's not actually producing enough data for the 'INDEX 0' points - i.e. they're beyond the end of the file.

I can work around it by ditching the trailing index 0 point if they're beyond the end of the file like that but obviously that's not ideal.

I'd love to know why the directshow filters aren't outputting enough data... or perhaps where I'm not quite getting how it should work!

You might be ok if you use this filter: http://www.dsp-worx.de/?n=15

Do you happen to know/remember which one you're currently using?

I've just done some testing with various filters, comparing their output to the original files.

I used the 14 tracks from the 'Semisonic - All About Chemistry' CD for testing.

Using the madFlac v1.7 filter, none of the tracks came out 100% (bit perfect) like the originals - I've let the author know. :(

The illiminable v0.71.0946 filters had pretty much the same problem. Only tracks 7 and 8 were identical to the originals. :(

The illiminable v0.73.1936 filters failed in the same way the v0.71.0946 did. Only tracks 7 and 8 were identical to the originals. :(

The DC-Bass Source v1.11 filters produced files that were all 100% like the originals. :)

I also tested Flac.exe v1.2.1 (just for reference), all the files it produced were 100% like the originals. :)

"Encoded by FLAC v1.1.4a with FLAC Frontend v1.7.1" That's the tag in FLACfrontend but I don't know if that's any use to you.

Looking in AVICodec under the 'codecs and filters' tab and clicking the 'Directshow' radio button, there's a massive list but the FLAC decode/encode are both

illiminable.

That's tricky with flac files actually, I was hoping you'd just know!

If you didn't install one especially, it must be part of some bigger filters collection.

If you open the file in graphedit and right click on the source box to bring up properties, you might get a clue that way.

I installed that filter from DSP and burnt the Tool disk from the cue file. It worked fine and played ok too.

On playing the disk in winamp it didn't have the track titles and had to look up gracenote.

I had also disabled the illiminable entries in aviCodec.

I get this message...

The requested property page could not be displayed.

Does winamp read cd-text?

That's the only place it could get the names from on a cd.

Shame about the graphedit thing, I was hoping the filter would have a properties page showing a nice 'about' type bit of info. The one I played around with earlier seemed to have one, I think that was madFlac though.

Yeah, Winamp reads CD text. It's not a major deal breaker for me as my hifi and car stereo both don't!

Converting it in FLAC frontend keeps the cd text in there, somehow!
