HI All, I've burned a few dvds with imgburn, and all went ok, but recently I'm getting error messages when trying to play with a standalone dvd player. So to be succint the dvd will play in pc but not in standalone. I got disc not formatted, and disc not suported. Any one any ideas?

All help appreciated!

using win xp, dvd- and panasonic standalone.

Post a burn log please. Help/Imgburn logs...preferably from one of the discs that will not play.

Hi again Locoeng, I just noticed - having been hypnotised initally by the avatar, that you hail from Charlestone. What a great place, visited there a couple of years ago!

thanks for the help!

David

I always use L&D's modified firmware on my 3540A, try 1.WB from here: http://liggydee.cdfreaks.com/page/en/NEC-ND-3540A/

I 20:00:45 Media Type: DVD-RW (Disc ID: CMCW02) (Speeds: 1x, 2x)

I 20:35:08 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: INFOSMART01) (Speeds: 2x, 4x)

Possible dodgy discs...how does your drive handle write once media +/-R?

Going by the size, it looks like you're burning an AVI or something... you can't do that and expect it to play on a DVD Video player.

You need to covert it to DVD Video format.

It is an avi file. Is there a good free programme to convert avi to dvd?

cheers

David

I tried one or two different types, +r and -r and -Rw but same result.

cheers
