First steps -> erasing a dvd-rw

Recommended Posts

Hi, I just started with ImgBurn and I'm stuck with the first problem.

I can't erase a Sony DVD-RW with some data in.

I have set "DMA if available" in device manager for IDE ATAPI controller and "Auto" in BIOS but the problem is still there.

What can I check?

Thanks

Thank you all.

I tried to erase a (more) modern TDK-RW 4x and it works fine, so my burner works :)

I have also updated firmware directly from samsung site but nothing to do with "medieval" Sony-RW 1x..... if I can't find a "medieval" burner I can throw them away :D

Bye
