jimbo1mcm Posted January 12, 2009 Share Posted January 12, 2009 Quality control is almost non-existent on certain brands of BD-RE's I recently had a 50 GB BD-RE from a nationally known brand fail at about 80% into the recording. I used Image Burn Discovery mode to see exactly where the failure was. My problem is that it takes SO LONG to write to the disc in Discovery mode. Is there a way to get Discovery mode to just sample through the disc? If we had a choice of a say...10% sample or 50% etc, we could find out if the disc was probably good or bad much quicker. I do understand that unless we sample to 100% we can't be completely sure that the disc has the proper coatings to record without error. Great program. Keep working on it!!! THanks.
