  1. Ah ok, your issue perhaps isn't exactly what I thought it was. Are you able to browse through different folders - but if you click on an actual file, the box hangs? Does it matter what type of file you click on?
  2. You're way behind on your version of ImgBurn. Old ones aren't supported. Likewise, Vista SP2 has been out for ages now. If a disc burns and verifies ok (your log didn't show the verify phase so I guess you disabled it), ImgBurn's job is done. Playback issues typically come from bad source files (wrong format etc) or unreadable (cheapo) media. Do you have any proper BD supporting playback software on your PC? PowerDVD 10 / 11 'Ultra' etc?
  3. This should allow you to view them. http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html Does the box get stuck every time you try and open it? Even after rebooting etc? I think it would default to showing something like the desktop, so do you have any items on there that it could be getting hung up on?
  4. Post the log please - as per the pink box up the top If it's a CD, yes, BIN/CUE is normal. Not all types of data belong/are supported in an ISO. ImgBurn knows what should and shouldn't end up in one and will adjust accordingly.
  5. It can't handle audio ones - and the NRG specs aren't public. Mount the NRG in DAEMON Tools and make a more generic bin/cue image instead by reading the virtual drive in ImgBurn.
  6. It's unlikely you're doing anything wrong. If ImgBurn says the 'Content Type: BD Video' then it should be ok. The one you burnt in your initial log looks ok - but you didn't verify the disc so we can't really be sure. Why don't you output to an ISO, mount it in a virtual drive program and then see if it works? If it does, burn it to disc. I assume you have the latest update installed for PowerDVD?
  7. You didn't answer my question about which PC playback software you're using - or maybe you didn't mean you were using any PC playback software at all? dvdfab isn't playback software. If the disc burns and verifies ok, it's out of our hands.
  8. Post a log please - as per the pink box up the top ImgBurn doesn't make the structure, it just burns what you give it.
  9. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000 (Thread moved to 'ImgBurn Support' section)
  10. What playback software are you trying to use on the PC? The disc should be fine - assuming your source files were ok in the first place. As for the standalone player, do you know if it supports the cheaper LTH media you're using?
  11. It's the Windows API dialog box that's hanging. Maybe you have a shell extension installed that's misbehaving and causing the folder/file enumeration fuctions within the dialog box to get stuck?
  12. Sorry, this isn't a bodge I fancy implementing. I can't see where you're getting that 'Failed to Reserve Track!' message from, it should never appear if you're using DVD+RW. What's stopping you from testing your compilation in a software player?
  13. You have DMA issues. I'm sure you'll find some suggestions on what to do IF you search for them. http://www.google.co.uk/#sclient=psy&hl=en&source=hp&q=site:forum.imgburn.com+Logical+Unit+Communication+CRC+Error+(ULTRA-DMA%2F32)
  14. I'm glad to hear SP1 may have fixed the issue for you That's fine, it'll always say 'Unknown' unless they actually add that info into the filter - and nobody ever does
  15. Hmm well that all looks clear enough. Sorry, I don't know why DirectShow is getting stuck on your machine.
  16. Open the 'Create CUE File' feature from the Tools menu. Add the problem WAVE file. Right click said WAVE file and tell the program to display the directshow filter list. Then get a screenshot of the box that pops up and attach it in a reply post. (or press CTRL+C when the box is on the screen, and 'paste' the contents of the clipboard into a reply) After that you can just cancel out of the 'Create CUE File' window.
  17. If you have a boot image that loads CD-ROM drivers, adding other files to the disc should be as simple as adding them to the 'Source' box. Then, once the bootable disc has booted into DOS, you just change to the appropriate drive in order to access those files.
  18. Yup, correct track info for the CD and not for any DVD by the looks of it. 'LTS' is Logical Track Size. Notice it's always '1' for DVD discs - and that's the problem.
  19. Different buffer That one is on the I/O tab, page 2.
  20. Maybe the track info for CDs is reported correctly? What if you put a pressed/original DVD-ROM in the drive... can you post the disc info (or even just the track info) bit from that? If it's a firmware bug, replacing like for like isn't going to help you. If they replace with a different (better) drive, you'll be ok.
  21. The problem here is the 'Track Information' stuff. The drive is reporting incorrect/invalid info. Stick to using your other drive - that works properly
  22. This type of question has no place on this forum, sorry. Playback issues (especially 360 ones) are not really our concern. I suggest you simply 'Google' the error message.
  23. You can't really compare hardware to software, one of them will always be more forgiving. Hell that's even true comparing software to software. Rather than (re)muxing the mkv into the BDMV format, see if you can re-encode (so it's actually processed properly) it into a BDMV format instead. (using different tools I would guess) It might just be enough to sort out whatever's wrong with it.
  24. Did you try 8x with the updated firmware? Try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc too. If it still doesn't work, get yourself a new drive. Don't buy another slimline one, they're all pretty rubbish.
  25. Looks like corruption in the source files or the drive is having trouble reading the disc. Do you verify your burns?
