  1. Your drive just can't read the disc... maybe there's something wrong with it? Is it dirty / scratched? Maybe it wasn't a good burn in the first place.
  2. You're way behind on the firmware updates for that drive. Early versions had problems creating playable discs. Get the latest version from here: http://www.firmwarehq.com/Lite-On/iHBS112%2B2/files.html
  3. Verbatim have only very recently started selling their own BD-RE DL discs. Everything before that was just fake/rebranded stuff. If you look at the BH10LS30 thread in the 'Drives' forum you'll see where I burnt a few BD-RE DL discs with it. Compare the disc quality scans in the posts below... they're worlds apart. Panasonic 2x BD-RE DL [MEI-T01-001] @ 2x http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=16152&view=findpost&p=125489 Maxell 2x BD-RE DL [TDKBLD-Wfa-000] @ 2x http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=16152&view=findpost&p=125307 TDK 2x BD-RE DL [TDKBLD-Wfa-000] @ 2x http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=16152&view=findpost&p=125662 You want MEI-T01-001 and not TDKBLD-Wfa-000 p.s. a fast erase just writes zeros to the first few hundred sectors - it's a waste of time. Only a full erase actually sends the 'format' command to the drive.
  4. You're quite right db, he/she isn't. I jumped the gun a little having seen the 'RICOH*' MID in his/her post - 'RICOHJPN-R01-02' is a very old (4x) dye now! As you say though, the same basic recommendations in the linked thread still apply.
  5. A machine can boot a disc if it has 'El Torito' descriptors/information on it. You can Google it ('El Torito') if you so wish. All that stuff would already need to be present in a pre-existing ISO, it isn't / can't be added during the actual burn.
  6. You'd have to see which filters DirectShow is pulling into the graph. Maybe one of them changed and is messing things up. Right click a file (you've already added) when building the CUE and you should see an option to display the DirectShow Filter List on the menu that pops up.
  7. For the flac files, can't you just install madFlac as per the Audio CD guide? http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=5555&view=findpost&p=91374
  8. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  9. Again, it's NOT and idd file, it's an ibb file. You don't seem to understand what I'm asking for so let me try showing you a picture instead... Once you've loaded the ibb, what does it say in the box marked by the arrow? The program is trying to tell you that the boot image you've specified in there doesn't exist. Please upload the ibb file you're working from so I can see what's what.
  10. What does the message in the status bar say? It doesn't really look like the program is doing anything... so maybe the OS is dealing with a request - and not doing a very good job of it! Does it work if you boot up in safe mode?
  11. Try pointing ImgBurn's Write mode at that same file on your C: drive.
  12. I didn't say anything about loading the ibb (not idd) again, I assumed you'd already done that. An ibb file is a 'build mode' project file created by ImgBurn. Load your IBB and then switch to the advanced / bootable tab. There's a field called 'Boot Image' and it's whatever's written in there that's important. If the boot image file doesn't still exist in that exact (fully qualified) path, there you have the problem. Posting the log and screenshots would help us understand what you're seeing - and be far more accurate!
  13. ImgBurn's 'Auto Change Book Type' setting will make the temp setting active and change that temp setting to DVD-ROM. You've never needed to touch any of the book type stuff and doing so isn't going to help you anyway. If the drive is just creating unreadable coasters then you should try with better media - or buy a new drive which you appear to have now done anyway.
  14. Check the 'Advanced' -> 'Bootable' tab again and ensure the boot image you've selected still exists in its original location.
  15. Start ImgBurn Click the 'Create image file from files/folders' button. Click the 'Input' menu option at the top and select 'Advanced'. Click the big 'Show Disc Layout Editor' button in the 'Source' box. Add whatever you want to burn into the disc layout window. Close 'Disc Layout Editor' window. Click the 'Options' tab and change the 'File System' to 'ISO9660 + Joliet + UDF'. Enter a name for the ISO image file you'll be creating in the 'Destination' box. Click the big 'Build' button. (bottom left of main window) Once you've got your image, burn it to a disc using the 'Write image file to disc' option off the initial screen.
  16. Possibly. Try this - http://bmproductions.fixnum.org/moreprogs/wmpcdtext.htm The burn log would tell us if CD-TEXT was written.
  17. The 'Physical Format Information (ADIP)' structure will always say DVD+R, it's only 'Physical Format Information (Last Recorded)' that would/should say DVD-ROM. (For some reason, you aren't getting that bit in your disc info text) 'Current Profile' wouldn't normally change to DVD-ROM either.
  18. If it burnt and verified ok, ImgBurn did its job. Look in the manual or contact the manufacturer of the G98DH player and see what's up with it.
  19. ImgBurn isn't a music 'ripper', use something like Exact Audio Copy.
  20. 2.5.5.0, the one in your initial log. After that you seem to have started using 2.4.3.0 ?!
  21. You should revert to using the most recent ImgBurn.
  22. That image looks way too big to fit on a normal 80 minute CD. Are you using 90 - 99 minute ones or something? You must be one of the 10 or so people still creating VCD's No plans to move to a format that supports decent quality/resolutions?
  23. Post a log please - as per the pink box up the top
  24. You should just try some 2.4x and/or 8x speed Verbatim DL discs regardless.
