  1. What was the answer to post # 7 ? Can the drive recognise original/pressed/previously burnt discs ok? If it doesn't work with anything, it's pointless helping you with the firmware update issue - you'd just need a new drive.
  2. Do you have a floppy drive or a bootable usb stick?
  3. You can't do a decent verify on any disc containing audio. (because drives offset the audio by different amounts and what you read back isn't what was written there (to a sector)) So yes, it's expected that the md5 hash doesn't match. Multisession (which cd extra is) isn't officially supported in CUE files so the replication plant might just not be able to cope with such images.
  4. If you really must use a DVD+RW (rather than DVD-R or DVD+R), try some different ones that don't use the 'RITEK-008-00' dye.

  6. 4 hours is more than enough time for it to finish. Cycle the power on your PC and try it again. Make sure you have the latest firmware installed. http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/BH10LS30/files.html
  7. If your drive can't initialise any DL discs, it's probably about time you got a new one. That said, figuring out the firmware update may solve the problem. Cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc may also help.
  8. Correct, just use the 'Write files/folders to disc' option.
  9. You just use Read mode and then Write mode. i.e. 'Create image file from disc' followed by 'Write image file to disc'. You shouldn't touch 'Build' mode ('Write files/folder to disc' or 'Create image file from files/folder') when you already have image files. Turn on the showing of file extensions within Explorer, it makes life so much easier. What you've got (by the sounds of it anyway) is a BIN/CUE image (well, 2 lots of them - 4 files in total - if you've read 2 discs). The CUE is a tiny plain text file that contains info relating to the larger BIN file. You can select either file when loading an image into Write mode, the program will correct you if you pick the wrong one. All in all, you just needed to follow this guide - http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=6380
  10. ImgBurn burns files 'as is'. So if you burn a wmv, you'll end up with a wmv on a disc - NOT what you appear to be after. Use something like DVDFlick or ConvertXtoDVD to convert the wmv into a nice set of DVD Video files (VIDEO_TS folder with IFO/VOB/BUP files) and then burn that with ImgBurn.

  12. That log doesn't show us anything useful. Please post one up that actually shows a burn/verify AND the error. There's an updated A109 firmware available for your drive - http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/GT10N/files.html
  13. My guess is that it's a mono or odd frequency wav file. Check out its properties and let us know. Either way, your system is unable to convert it to the correct format for burning (44KHz, 16 bit, Stereo). p.s. there's an updated firmware for your asus drive - http://www.firmwarehq.com/Asus/DRW-24B1ST/files.html
  14. Drives support discs on a MID by MID (dye by dye) basis. The MID (dye) that BD-RE uses 'INFOME-E20-000' is probably too new for the drive to support. That's to say, the drive (and its firmware) came out before 'INFOME-E20-000' was ever made available. You'll just have to wait for LG to release a new firmware and catch up with the times. In the mean time, you could always buy another BD-RE that uses a MID (dye) it does support. Get a Verbatim BD-RE or something.
  15. Do you have any non RITEKG05 DVD media to test with?
  16. Update ImgBurn. Update the firmware on your drive - http://www.firmwarehq.com/Pioneer/DVR-108/files.html I'm not even sure if MKM-003-00 would have existed when the most recent firmware was released, let alone back when 1.10 was still 'current'. Without proper firmware support, burning that media will always be pot luck.
  17. Do you have the same problem burning DVDs?
  18. Sorry, there isn't currently an option to prevent those prompts from appearing - I've added such an option to the next version though - 'Don't Prompt Retry Failed Burns'. You can control if the answer should be 'Yes' or 'No'. (i.e. retry or don't retry)
  19. Do you have the 1.00-09 (A9) firmware installed? Right click the drive drop down list and select 'Capabilities', it'll tell you in there. If not, get the update via the link below, flash the drive and then try again. http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/BH10LS30/files.html Failing that, the drive might just not support 'INFOME-E20-000' media yet.
  20. This looks like it could be cable / driver related. What controller is the drive attached to? There's an updated firmware available for the drive - http://www.firmwarehq.com/Lite-On/iHAS124%2BB/files.html
  21. ok well you need to try another one anyway. Get a new 80 wire IDE cable and make sure it's as short as possible. Do you only have the 1 drive on that cable?
  22. As it works ok in Windows, I'd have to say it's a bug in Wine. You can report the bug over at WineHQ. EDIT: I've found and implemented a workaround though. Look out for it in v2.5.6.0
  23. Have you tried replacing the cable for a decent new 80 wire one? If not, do so. If you only have 1 drive (the burner) on the cable, make sure you configure the jumpers to 'Master' on the back of the drive. You want the motherboard connected at one end of the cable and the drive at the opposite end - leaving one blank connector in the middle.
  24. What sort of ISO is it? DVD Video? If so, you could 'shrink' it so it fits on a single layer DVD. Double layer images go onto double layer discs rather than 2 single layer ones.
