  1. For people that end up here having searched ('Googled') for a Virtual Burner, you can try the following: (In alphabetical order) 1. Phantom Burner - http://www.phantombility.com/en/prod/phantomburner/ 2. Phantom Drive - http://www.phantom-drive.com/en/ 3. Virtual CD - http://www.virtualcd-online.com/
  2. multiAVCHD should be able to do that. Of course it's far easier to just get a device that can play mkv files - something like a 'WDTV Live'.
  3. Correct. ImgBurn creates an MDS file for discs like that to get around this very issue. If you mount the MDS rather than the ISO, DAEMON Tools then emulates a DVD-R or something instead of a DVD-ROM. Switch to using Virtual CloneDrive instead of DT. It will emulate a BD-R disc if the image is a BD Video one.
  4. A PC player (powerdvd etc) shouldn't care if you have BD video on a DVD DL disc but a standalone might do. I can't tell you what will work / not work, you'd need to figure that out for yourself. Keeping stuff in BD video format (BDMV folder) is the only way to maintain high def. If you convert to proper DVD Video format (VIDEO_TS folder) you'd lose that.
  5. You'd still need a Blu-ray player to play Blu-ray content - even if it's not on a Blu-ray disc. You may even find some won't play Blu-ray content from anything other than a Blu-ray disc. That bit is trial and error I'm afraid. I really can't help you with playback issues, you're better off asking people on a different forum. Lots of people over at the Doom9 forums deal with tsmuxer / multiavchd stuff, give there a try.
  6. The type of disc you burn to makes no difference to the quality. If a source BDMV folder is only 4GB, the video it contains will look the same no matter if it's burnt to single layer DVD, double layer DVD or Blu-ray. ImgBurn burns 'as-is' so 4GB stays as 4GB. So basically, playback issues are down to your source files (assuming the disc burnt and verified ok).
  7. You didn't verify the disc. You could have burnt that to a double layer DVD... might be worth a try. Can PC programs like PowerDVD 11 Ultra / TMT5 play the burnt disc ok?
  8. Post a log please - as per the pink box up the top
  9. The option you wanted is called 'File Systems' and is on the 'Options' tab... but I think you found that (eventually) anyway. I doubt you needed to touch the advanced file system options. ImgBurn just defaults to ISO9660 + UDF as that's the standard for DVD Video. Joliet goes hand in hand with ISO9660, you can't select it on its own. A player will always attempt to parse the best file system it supports. So normally it would be UDF, then Joliet, then ISO9660. You should have looked at the documentation for your player to see which format it expected the disc to be in. They're normally quite good at detailing all the options that need to be set and the limitations of the player (max number of files/folders etc).
  10. You should use the Joliet file system on MP3 discs. Most players won't read UDF and ISO9660 cuts the file names down to 8.3 characters.
  11. If you're talking about something you've burnt in build mode, it's down to the way you've named the files.
  12. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=12200
  13. Ok, mine arrived Yours definitely aren't *proper* Verbatim BD-RE DL discs.
  14. Yes, all the files. Or better still, just select the folder itself.
  15. Well, if it didn't require formatting, you wouldn't have run the same commands on it. Does its MID match the one of the other Sony discs? Contact LG and see if they're going to do anything about it. If they aren't and you really want to use those discs, you may have to get a new burner that does support them properly.
  16. Send a support request to LG asking for them to add support for those 2 MIDs. It would be worth double checking they aren't already in the firmware though - using the tool you mentioned. You should ask its author for help in using it. Do so over at the MyCE forums.
  17. ConvertXtoDVD might be faster - it's not free though. btw, you're using a very old version of ImgBurn there. You should upgrade to the latest one.
  18. You may find those MIDs just aren't supported by the drive's firmware yet.
  19. 2 physically different hdds to 2 different burners should not a be a problem. Please post the burn logs from both burns you've attempted under those conditions. I assume you aren't using adapters on any of the drives? (IDE/USB -> SATA etc) When burning at full speed with just 1 drive, can I assume you've tried that with both of the drives? So either of them will burn at full speed when the other isn't also burning. If only 1 of them works at full speed then obviously the issue is with the other one
  20. It's not just stopping with either of them in that log. The Philips drive reports: and the Optiarc drive reports: Now I know you said you've tried with Taiyo Yuden discs, but it may help us if you could get hold of some others and post 'safe mode' logs from some TYG02 / TYG03 burns. I think I'd be tempted to invest in a £20 LiteOn/Optiarc drive to perform additional tests with.
  21. Log snippets are of little use, post the entire thing please. Oh and don't post logs from / comment about old versions - it's impossible to say at this point which version of the program you're having trouble with. Even if DirectShow filters can't cope with album art being included in the ID3 tag, ACM should still work on most MP3 files. If you have a file that doesn't work send it (or one from a collection of files that don't work) to me at the 'support' email address and I'll examine it.
  22. Try burning in safe mode and report back if you have the same problem(s).
  23. The error you're getting has been covered loads of times. Go back to the link in post # 2 and read the search results.
  24. Take this issue up with LG, it's nothing to do with ImgBurn. The file on the disc is exactly the same as the one on your hdd.
  25. Please do as it says in the pink box up the top and post a log
