  1. Seems it was operator error, I thought I had exited AnyDVD but I must not have done so as i havent had any problems since making sure AnyDVD was closed before burning. .
  2. Never Mind, I think I forgot to shut down AnyDVD, will try another disc with anydvd shut down to see if this happens.
  3. The disc looks OK and seems to play OK. Several others have done the same lately but all have played OK. ; //****************************************\\ ; ImgBurn Version 2.5.8.0 - Log ; Friday, 23 August 2013, 14:43:01 ; \\****************************************// ; ; I 14:22:06 ImgBurn Version 2.5.8.0 started! 4. The disc is not OK, it didn't copy. I have now tried it in my laptop and again in my desktop & both failed (3 or 4 wasted disc's) so the problem is elsewhere, not IngBurn but I have been getting the messages I described in my first post before so this current issue is an ongoing problem at this point.
  5. Recently when I burn a disk I get the message close to or at the end that it failed, I opt to close it and I get the "Oh No" message. Every time it does that I check the disk in Win 7 (Computer) and it show the disk is full so I play it back and it seems to work fine every time. This had happened for the last 4 to 10 discs. Sony -R disc's & I have used them for a long time. Never had this problem B/4. I just removed the program and reloaded it and the same thing happened but the disc is OK?
  6. Could try with that option disabled, I've had some burners that went bananas with that option enabled, especially if they are near the death date. I have heard of that, what is the Death Date or how many burns do you normally get as I 2 have the same problem and I think it is the burner. 3 to 5yrs old now.
  7. Today the first disc I tried failed but very quickly? I then again cleaned the ASUS burner/player and on the 2nd try it gave me the audible "Oh No" but when I look at the "E" Drive it says 0 bytes free of 4.35GB and it plays OK as I did view the entire movie. “The discs” are the same I have used for several months. Most often it doesn't produce an unreadable disc that does happen but not often. It just gives me that message it failed but it hasnt failed most times as I see a full disc and they play OK? I can tell by looking at the back of the disc that it looks full, usually when it fails it isn't in the burner very long. Should I try removing all aspects of the program and reloading it or any other ideas? Thanks for the help. //****************************************\\ ; ImgBurn Version 2.5.7.0 - Log ; Wednesday, 27 March 2013, 15:46:04 ; \\****************************************// ; ; I 15:30:01 ImgBurn Version 2.5.7.0 started! 9. Forgot to mention that I did insure that AnyDVD was closed on the second burn but still get the same audible message, "Oh no operation failed"

  11. Should have checked CP 1st, the program must change the settings as I didn't open CP to do it myself. Thanks
  12. This just started, I just installed the new Imgburn version 2.5.7.0 and it now opens the program when I put in a DVD movie. ImgBurn has never done this before. I don't want it to automatically open as I have to shrink the disc before I open ImgBurn to burn. Is there something in the new program that I have to uncheck to get that to stop loading automatically or is it a win default problem? I didn't make any changes there that I know of?
  13. Will do when it occurs again as I don't have any logs since I reinstalled it a day ago.
  14. I get a notification "Oh No" operation failed. Notification says Close, Retry etc so I just close operation. Then I look at the drive and the disc is full so I try playback and it plays back ok, just started recently. Removed IMG and downloaded and reinstalled still did it? Note: Does not do it all the time?
  15. I have used ImgBurn for some time,I found it mentioned in the Afterdark newsletter so tried it with great success.. For some reason yesterday it started to fail on each burn. 5 different times on 3 different movies. I removed all traces I could find via control panel, searching and reloaded from the Img site and reinstalled the program. (Note: I still have DVD Decrypter and I was able to burn one DVD successfully last night with Decrypter.) After reinstalling Img I did 1 0r 2 burns last night and it was also successful. Today I tried to burn and it failed again. Log from that burn below. I'm using Win 7 Home Prem and use DVD Shrink then ImgBurn to burn to the disk. I have any DVD but turn it off as instructed by when I open Img. Also can Img be set up to first shrink with it and eliminate using any other programs, just use Img for all? 16. Thanks, Now I will have to open the computer up and make sure these model #’s are correct. I swore I bought 2 burners when I built this Computer but you may be correct as I just checked the receipts and I paid about $15 less than for the other burner. I was positive I had used this Sony to rip and burn but not for quite some time. My intent originally was to have 2 burners. Well that answers the mystery. Thanks again
  17. I should have added it will also also say at the bottom Device Not Ready ( No Reference Position Found)

  19. I should have added that I can rip, play or burn with the #2 burner.
  20. I have 2 DVD burners & I want to alternate between them (to get even wear) when I look at the #2 DVD in Device Capabilities it shows the Read Capabilities checked but it doesn’t have any Write capabilities checked and I cant check any. I look at the #1 DVD and I see several boxes checked on both sides Read & Write, The #2 DVD has grayed boxes as does the #1 DVD Burner but #1 has check marks in both sides & #2 doesn't. How can I setup the #2 DVD burner so I can burn with it as I do with the #1 burner? #1 is a Samsung (sata) and #2 is a Sony (IDE) This is what I get when I load a blank DVD into the tray, select Burner #2 and load what I want to burn, I never get anything but Device Not Ready (Meduim Not Present) as if I didn't put a disk in so i ahve to use #1 to burn with. I have tried several things to change the capabilities without success. How do I set it up so I can use the 2nd DVD for burning DVD’s just as I do with #1?
  21. The only reason for doing this, when you try some movies they will not go with shrink so I use Fab decrypter first. When it is done you can take the original disk out and put in a blank, open Shrink and it will then move to Decrypter when it shrinks the copy. This allows you to go workout for an hour or two and then come back with the finished product.
  22. I was using DVD Decrypter to burn, now I use ImgBurn. My problem is when Shrink closes it opens Decrypter, how do I change that to open ImgBurn instead. As it is I have to close Decrypter then open ImgBurn even if I have a blank disc in my burner waiting. How do I make DVD Shrink see ImgBurn as the default program?
