  1. I plan to install ImgBurn and restore my current settings on an entirely new Windows XP system. Could someone kindly advise what setting files I should back up for that purpose? If there is reliable backup/restore tool for Pidgin, I would surely love to try it out. Nevertheless I'd still like to know what the specific setting files are and where they are located under Windows XP. I'd prefer going through all those directories and registries to get things done right, manually if necessary. As for restoring settings, I'd think that copy and overwrite in respective directories would be sufficient. If there are specific procedures I should follow, by all means please comment. Thanks for advising! -- - ImgBurn 2.4.20 - Windows XP Pro SP2
  2. Thanks for all the helpful advices:) Well, I will keep my Pioneer DVR-112D manufactured in May 2007.
  3. I don't want drag on this since this forum is dedicated for ImgBurn. However one last question, is your Pioneer a lot quieter than your LiteOn? I've read Lite-On drives are pretty noisy.
  4. Thanks again for the tips my friend Seems this is what I have to do with my Pioneer 112D, although I am no fan of firmware flashs. Well Pioneer 112D supports natively DVD+R DL, so no problem there. The likely problem however is..... I like burn DVD5+R more and my main burning app is ImgBurn. Under ImgBurn there is no Booktype change option for Pioneer drives. Any ImgBurn user has found a way around it? Supposing I haven't bought any, what would you recommend out these three? My feeling is that you are more for Pioneer 112D? Correct?
  5. I just bought a Pioneer 112D after a brief research. Thought about Samsung SH-S203B, but my local store did not have it. Later I found out, Pioneer 112D does not support DVD+R bitsetting firmware flash. Doh! Is this true? I will be burning a lot of DVD+R and DVD+R DL (yes this a lot too) media. Have I made good decision for those jobs? I can still return the Pioneer if I change my mind. What about these compared to the Pioneer I bought? - BENQ DVD LS DW1655 BCDB - Lite-On LH-20A1P
  6. I'm convinced it's DVD9 I want to backup my movies on. I am going to stock a few hundreds of Verbatim MKM-001s (2.4x) as recommended by many reputable forums. I will be burning DVD9 media using ImgBurn software and NEC ND-4550A drive. The problem is I am currently working at Hong Kong where cheap media and fake ones are common place. I wonder if you could kindly identify this Verbatim being sold is the real Verbatim, MKM-001s (2.4x). The first picture shows Verbatim MKM-001 from supermedistore.com - a highly reputable store in the US. I'd think that is the real one. The next three pictures show Verbatim MKM-001 from a reputable store in Hong Kong from which I will be buying. As far as I can tell both Verbatims are the same and real. Can you identify and advise if the Verbatim shown on the Hong Kong store's picture the real thing? The Verbatim sold at the Hong Kong store is made in Singapore. Thank you for advising
