I bought Nero7 Ultra three years ago, uninstalled it after a year and it gathered dust for two years.
I decided I would install Nero7 on my current PC--Nero offers the latest Nero7 Update on a DVD for $15. I thought great!! I prefer to install software from an installation disc versus internet download.
I received the Nero7 Update disc, tried to install, but kept getting messages that the NeroUpdate.exe was not a valid Win32 application, so I've been trying to resolve that problem.
I used several different media ID tools and almost fell off my chair when the burning application to produce the disc was IMGBURN V2.4.1.0 See the attachment.
I thought---why is Nero using IMGBURN to produce their Update disc---shouldn't Nero use Nero????
Anyway, I thought the OUTSTANDING folks at IMGBurn would be amused. Nero using a free burning application instead of their own product. Maybe IMGBURN should consider this a product endorsement??
The irony is that I have not been able to use the Update Disc to install Nero7. The EXE file on the disc has the properties/attributes of a MS-Dos application. Needless to say, I'm waiting for Nero Technical for a response.
Just an FYI---ImgBurn Rocks!!!
