  1. well i coppied it to my c:/ drive and it burned much faster. I am guessing the new computer dosen't like the usb1.0...so they make a 2.0 port hub? thanks for the help Josh
  2. yes i beleive so. the memorex is the usb drive and the hp is the internal drive both worked just fine on the old computer. On the old computer i had it worked just fine and would burn them pretty quick. It took about 30 to 45 minutes and now on this computer it takes about 2 hours once it completes the burn it will start to verify it and it verifies it at 8x until about 20% complete than it goes down to .7x and will finish it at that and it takes another hour to complete it. Why does the memorex drive say "Fail to set write parameters"?
  3. the f:/ drive is connected via usb and when i try to write with the f drive it says getting book type and it does that for a while and once it gets to the write screen it says "Failed to set write parameters" and when i switch to discovery mode and burn at full speed it burns fast and the buffer sits at 100% and the device buffer sits at 98% and burns without a problem here is the log I 14:05:00 Operation Started! 5. well i followed the dma post and made sure that dma was enabled i also deleted the controller they talked about and made sure that dma was enabled on the boot screen when i start windows. it was set for auto so i tried something different and i am still getting really slow burn speeds. Do you have any other ideas thanks josh

Well i have a internal burner which is a hp1040i and a external memorex burner which is m#3202 3223 both burners worked just fine on the old computer. The hp drive i can get to burn but its really slow it will start to burn than it waits for the buffer. here is the burn log. this isn't a complete log sense i just started burning it I 16:38:11 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started! 12. I just don't get how it worked fine that one day and now all of a sudden it don't work at all. It seems really weird to me
  13. both burners i have do the same thing. I haven't tried them on another computer. where can i go and get a update for the driver?
  14. are verb dl disk a different verbatim disk. the disk that i was using were working just fine. I don't really no what happened all of a sudden it started saying cannot create write parameters
  15. So i have been making copies of my backup games for my wii and came accross a problem tonight. I am using verbatim dvd-r and i use imgburn. When i make a bakup i read it to my computer and store it on my external hard drive, than i open the hard drive up and click open with imgburn. than once it opens i click the button that starts the write process. It either says "Cannot creat write parameters" or not enough room on disk it says the file is 4,589mb and i have 4,588 available. I beleive that those were the correct numbers. Let me know. the weird thing is that i just made a copy of this game and it worked fine and i went to make a copy of another game and it wouldn't work. Let me know if you have some help i have one burner which is a hp dvd1040i and my external burner is a memorex 3202 3223 i tried a different usb port and same thing here is the log from the burn I 19:25:45 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started!
