i have tried 2 different brands of dvds maxell and memorex. both saying up to 16x. do i need to get a specific brand with a specific speed? thanks so much for the help.

i have been trying to burn some dvds, but when i get to the finalization i get a power calibration area error. any help to correct the error would be appreciated.
