Why convert anything?
A recent boss post suggested watching Avi's off pen drive and archiving to disc. So I bought a cheap play anything dvd player with usb port and did that. You can get six avi's to a dvd disc.
Then the boss struck again by suggesting the WD media player which I bought and is freaking awesome! Well done boss! 2 4 2.
To answer your question everybody says ConvertX is best but you gotta pay for it.
Thats seems like a good Idea. How do you do that exactly.
I got mine for free from a friend.

Yes I unfortunately do live in the U.S at the moment. Can't wait to leave this country. Thanks for the link. I'll check it out now.
HOLY CRAP why didn't I think of newegg.

So I was going through older post made and seen that mmalves recommended DVDFlick (Which I'm downloading now)
But I would still like to know other suggestions. And also how to fix my icon problem.
-
Any recommendations as to a good source to buy these disks online?
-
So, I'm not sure if discussion of other products is allowed so go ahead and delete this if I am out of line.
I use Convert-Blah-2Dvd 3 to convert my movies and ImgBurn to get them onto disc.
Lately, well, the last 6 movies I've converted will save and look like this.
Ever since that's been happening I have been having problems burning my home movies. I highly doubt this could be the cause but maybe it's coincidence.
I've always been satisfied with Convert-Blah-2dvd 3 But I feel that there are much better converting programs that may be more compatible with Imgburn. '
Does anyone know why the icons are coming out like that? I haven't changed any of the options.
What do you all use? Any suggestions?

New here, and don't know you yet, but have a damn good birthday!!!
-
media code = the thing that tells what dye that was used for the discs.
External burner is one that you have outside the computer and connected with a cable to your computer, like an USB cable. Internal slim line lap top burners are mostly more tricky to get good burns with that the normal heights burners.
Okay, Well I'll deff look into get back to using Verbatim. And finding a new burner. THANKS!
-
That burner - is it inside a laptop or a regular computer? If it's the first - go for an external (USB) - the later one - it's easy if you know how to use a screwdriver.
Verbatims made in Japan can be with Taiyo Yuden media codes.
It's a Laptop HP pavilion DV 6000. External what??????
And I didn't understand what you meant when saying...
"Verbatims made in Japan can be with Taiyo Yuden media codes."
Sorry...
I'm new to all this {ImgBurn}. I used to use Nero but got aggravated with it and decided to go with IMGBurn and about 6 or 7 disks went great until all this which started happening today.
-
How can I change my burner, and If I do change it, what would be ideal?
Also where can I find Taiyo Yuden blanks without buying online? Never seen them at best buy or the like.
-
Yep it worked as you can see.
-
Spoke to soon...
Now I get this...
-
Thats what I figured

I did that and got these results, Maybe cause Im new, or INVISION hates me either or.
I get this:
"Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.
The error returned was:
You are not allowed to use this part of the board"

So I have a few movies this appears on. the first image is what appears after 100% buffering then when I hit cancel the second pic appears.
This appears in the box to the right in imgburn.
