  1. I have other games i have had a friend burn and when i insert those into my drive it reads them becuase the message at the bottom of IMGburn says "Disk not empty." So that one is being read anyways
  2. The message I get is this: "Device Not Ready(Logical unit is in process of being ready)" But now today I got it to read a disc once so I'm not sure what's wrong with it. Maybe just needs to be cleaned like you said??
  3. Yes even after restarting the computer it does the same thing.
  4. Hey I have already seen a few threads on this issue but none have really ehlped so I thought I'd make one myself. When attempting to burn onto a Dual Layer disk (and yes i'm using Verbatim) I can not write to the disk because i have the message at the bottom saying "Device Not Ready (Medium Not Present)." I'm using an "HP DVD Writer 740b (ATA)" with the newest firmware i believe (HI24). Here is my log, which has nothing on it really but I would appreciate the help-----> I 02:49:27 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! I 02:49:27 Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2) I 02:49:27 Total Physical Memory: 981,480 KB - Available: 257,752 KB I 02:49:27 Initialising SPTI... I 02:49:27 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 02:49:28 Found 1 DVD
  5. o ok...so if i pick up some Verbatim Disks then it should work fine?
  6. what of my media is "Ritek" like you're talking about? I am using Memorex Cd's...are those what you are talking about or what? Sorry i'm a noob
  7. My drive on both computers actually happens to be the same...the "HP dvd writer 840b" drive But my F:\ drive is actually a Western Digital 500GB MyBook external hard drive...that is where i am getting the file off of....and my usb 2.0 ports on this computer dont seem to be working so that could be the reason for the slow speeds
  8. I am trying to burn an Dual Layer disc from a file and every time I attempt to burn it I get an I/O error right around 50%...I have even downloaded this program on another computer and tried burning the file on there but I still recieve the same error....Here is my log: I 15:33:39 ImgBurn Version 2.4.4.0 started! I 15:33:39 Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 3) I 15:33:39 Total Physical Memory: 981,488 KB - Available: 562,888 KB I 15:33:43 Initialising SPTI... I 15:33:43 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 15:33:43 Found 1 DVD-RW and 1 DVD
