  1. I’ve got many VHS tapes of the Gaither Homecoming series and due to degradation of the tapes, I’m in the processes of converting the analog tapes to digital format with a Pinnacle conversion device hooked between my VHS player & computer. Here’s my problem; some of the videos stored on an external HDD will play on WMP from that HDD & some won’t. Those I’ve burned so far with IMGBurn, will play in WMP from the computers DVD player and my stand-a-lone DVD player. Any ideas or suggestions? PS: I’ve discovered that video files, especially DVD’s are not real stable on external HDD’s. AVI’s are a little more stable, but a word of caution; if you must store video files on an external HDD, leave them there. Do not be moving them around & leave HDD off when not in use.
  2. Thanks to both of you, it worked. It is strange, I've used this software on 3 different computers, all running XP & Kaspersky Internet Security & this is the 1st time it wouldn't open with antivirus enabled.
  3. The search function didn't yield much for this subject. Has Imgburn ever had any conflicts with applications from Apple? I have this Dell Inspiron laptop, which my grand daughter, has been using. She has installed programs for her I-phone & I-pad to download ring tones, music, etc on this machine. Since getting it back, I haven’t been able to open Imgburn application. I never had any problems before all the Apple stuff. I even uninstalled the software, downloaded the latest version, installed it and still get this popup: “c:\program files\imgburn\imgburn.exe Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.” When opening the desktop shortcut, I get the following popup: “c:\program files\imgburn\imgburn.exe. This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem”. I have full administrative rights/permissions on this computer. I’m the only one that uses it now. I have no problems with Imgburn on my main desktop computer. In fact I’ve got/had Roxio & Nero burning software both, but never use them anymore. I think Imgburn is simpler, faster & superior to either of them.
  4. I ran a VHS tape through Pinnacle and stored on my HDD so I could make a backup DVD of the old tape. Here are the results of 2 tries. First time was with a LITE-ON USB 2.0 External 20X DVD
  5. My first post. A question please, why would this disk play perfectly, when I got an error message? It plays perfectly on my stand alone home theatre system. I thought I was getting a clean burn when the little man said "Oh No" and I noticed from near the bottom of the log file there was an error 'Session 1, Track 1 is smaller on the disc than it is in the image file'. What does this mean? Log file: I 17:05:15 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! I 17:05:15 Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 3) I 17:05:15 Total Physical Memory: 3,135,556 KB - Available: 2,665,848 KB I 17:05:15 Initialising SPTI...
