  2. Maybe try the newer Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver?

    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/55005/Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Intel-RST-

If that doesn't work, see if you can revert to the Microsoft one.

You need to find a driver that does away with the OS reported I/O Error and returns what the drive is actually reporting (if anything).

This is an OS error: - "The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error."

Thanks, I noticed on the log that Passkey was enabled, I disabled it an the next burn was ok. Hope that was the problem.

  6. The following log is not complete, as it was a mile long, but it was all a repeat of what is in the log. I got the error message about the miscompares and after about 3 retries it offered to ignore the miscompares, I did. It eventually finalized and got an excellent Quality test and played fine. This has happened on my last three disks.Any help greatly appreciated.

  8. Seems your drive don't support well that media.

Read the pink bit above and post a log.

Thanks for the reply. That might not be the case, that drive has burned about 50 of the same media this month. I'm not sure what you mean by read the pink slip above?

  9. There is a no hard and fast solution to this issue of yours.

Your drive/firmware/media combo should just work... but obviously it's not, so now you need to try something else.

If you only had 1 failure, just forget about it and move onto the next disc - it could have just been a duff one.

If all your discs start failing, either the spindle is faulty or your drive is dirty/faulty.

Changing the write speed can sometimes help. There's nothing to say that 2.4x produces the best quality burns for your drive/firmware/media combo - and that's what you're aiming for at the end of the day, the best quality burn possible.

Try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc.

Try another spindle of discs. (stick with the decent MKM-001-00 / MKM-003-00 dyes)

    ]

Thanks, will give it a go.

  12. First update imgburn to 2.5.4 and also try burning at 4x instead of 2.4x.

Thanks for the reply. I have been using Img for years before this update, often with this media @2.4 don't really think this is the solution.

  13. I had this burn failure. I noticed AnyDvd open at the begining of the burn and closed it.
