The discs are visible within explorer sometimes. I do not get any errors. The drive just keeps trying to read the discs. Sometimes the movie will play and then freeze, play for a couple seconds, freeze, play...

I've tried Media Player 9, WinDVD 4, PowerDVD 6. None of them will play the discs properly. PowerDVD 6 seems to work the best.
While replying to your message I decided to ?waste? some DVD?s. I have come to the conclusion it must be a media related problem. I burned the same iso file on 2- Memorex DVD?s and on 2-Taiyo Yuden DVD?s. The TY DVD?s play fine in everything. The Memorex DVD?s play fine in everything but the laptop. I had previously ruled out the media because I have several Memorex DVD?s that do play fine in the laptop and some of the discs are from the same batch.
I am still confused because all of the Memorex DVD?s I currently have (100-200) play fine in every player I have tried them in and some of them play fine in the laptop. Do you have an explanation?
I know most people will tell you to stay away from Memorex media, but I have gone through 5-100 piece packs and have not had one coaster! With that said, I will not buy anymore because I now know there is a problem with the media. I just wish I would have found this out before burning so many movies onto Memorex DVD?s. Bummer. Most of my movie collection was burned onto that media.
