  1. Is there something hanging up in my computer? It's going on 5 minutes and img burn is still writing the lead in? I transcoded some IFO and VOB files from Nero and want to burn using imgburn.

    Video Editing

Can anyone recommend to me a good, free, video editing program? I used to use Nero and in Vision Express I could cut parts out of videos before burning. My guess is that before I use DVD Flick, I would like to have the videos edited with commercials, etc out. Thanks! Chris

  4. I had a series of about 23 mpeg layer 3 files, also called "video clips" that I had loaded into the cue using the "Build" mode. I inserted my DVD+R and everything went OK, but when I go and put the disc in my DVD player I get "error" message? The disc is playable on my computer, but I want it to be usable on my DVD player. Also, is there a way to select the order in which I burn these 23 files? When I reviewed my disc on my computer, they didn't play back in the order I selected. Any ideas? I have tried 3 discs now, and don't want to waste any more! Thanks.
  5. So, my next step is to go to the Plextor site, and post in there about the firmware. Round and round I go, and no solution in site, short of getting another burner??
  6. I am trying to make a DVD+RW of a movie, used the decrypter, then went into IMG BURN and wanted to write to the disc. A pop up said the disc needs to be formatted first, so when I selected drive, erase, full, I thought I had it, but it still failed. Log is shown below- can anyone help me? This is getting really frustrating- I think my Sony DVD+RW media is the problem, but let me know. Thanks! I 17:22:18 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! 7. Are these discs compatible with ImgBurn? Found nothing about these under media or FAQ.
  8. Thank you LightningUK- I think that is what I did- in build mode, after build, the tray cycled, then verified, and then my disc went from empty to complete. So I took it that all this happened in build mode.
  9. Hello- I have a few questions, just starting out using IMGBURN after using Nero for so long 1) How do you configure it so that IMGBURN comes up when I insert a DVD into my drive? 2) I have read the various functions, build, write, etc...but is it possible to select "build" and then it will go directly into "write" mode? Or do you have to do both functions separately? 3) Not sure how to make a menu in IMGBURN, where do you create a menu? Or is that done automatically? 4) I have tried burning onto what I thought was an erased DVD+RW, I had erased it in IMGBURN full erase, but I decided to abort my project because under the section "write retries" it was up over 100!!! Does that mean you should give up on the project and maybe it is because my media is bad? I am using Memorex DVD+RWs that are about 5 years old. Thanks, hope I can get this program to work better than Nero- which takes FOREVER to transcode my files! Chris
