  1. I'm sorry. The files were setup1.box and setup2.box I think. I can't remember exactly and the laptop is at home. Thank you for the link. I will read it and do it and see what happens. It would help if I had more time to devote to this.
  2. No problem Jeff. You can call me IT-lite. I redownloaded the entire set up last night. I wonder if I am making this too complicated because the expanded setup has the same files as the DVD after I burned it. Maybe all I really need to do is burn the expanded setup on a DVD. I'll try that tonight. I did try creating the ISO but need to spend more time reading the guides so I have some idea of what I'm doing here. Thank you very very very very much!
  3. I'm remembering they were box files but I don't see them anymore. I do see the expanded setup folder though. Jeff, thank you, except I have no idea what you are talking about. Sigh... this shouldn't be rocket science.
  4. I totally agree. ISO would be so much easier! For some odd reason it came in two files that had to be extracted into a lot of files and then turned into an ISO. This is a link to the directions I followed. http://brainstormtech.blogs.fortune.cnn.com/2009/10/24/windows-7-student-upgrade-hell/ I'll try again tonight.
  5. Thank you so much for the reply. I think that I am going to assume at this point that I did not create the ISO correctly as it was the first time I've ever tried to create an ISO and the directions I followed were somewhat complicated and I just tried writing the ISO to a DVD on a different computer and got the same result. It appears that I can use ImgBurn to create the ISO from the unpacked files that I got from Microsoft so I will try that. Why I couldn't just download the ISO directly when I bought the new OS I don't know but that sure would have been a ton easier. Thank you again! Jody
  6. I'm really having a hard time here. I have a Windows 7 ISO that I want to make into a bootable DVD. It seems to work until I try to boot to the DVD and then I get PRESS ANY KEY TO REBOOT. When I press a key, it reboots and tries to boot to the DVD and I get the same message. Here is my log file and I've attached the windows 7 content. Any ideas would be soooo appreciated. thank you in advance. I 18:23:51 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started!
