  1. Hey sorry to keep revisting this. I upgraded the software as suggested and recently I have attempted to make some copies of my dvd using DVDNextCopy and I am still havign burning issues which I think might be the discs as we previously discussed. My new issue is that after the burn goes through, or I should say finishes, but unsuccessfully, my computer will freeze when I try to do anything else (i.e. open a new program). Could this have anything to do with the new software?
  2. Thanks. Well I updated that and now Ill just have to get some Verbatim discs.
  3. Ok maybe im an idiot, but that was what i was linked to originally. Now it says its a zip file but when i download it, it is not a zip file. Can someone else download it and tell me if they have the same issue?
  4. I tried that but there is no option to open with those programs bc the file that downloads is not a zip file. Is there any other site where i can get the firmware?
  5. sorry to birng this topic back up, but I just had a chance to try and download the firmware update and Im having some trouble. I tried to download that file and it doesn't download a zip file. Its just some blank file that I can't open, it just asks me to browse for a program to open it with. Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong?
  6. no no... just download the .zip file to your desktop... then extract the content from the .zip file then double-click on this file --> AD-7580S FD06\AD-7580S FD06\WIN\Optiarc AD-7580S_ FD06.EXE let it do its job, dont touch the computer then reboot your pc your done Great! Thanks a bunch.
  7. Thanks. Kind of a dumb question, but how do i update the firmware. I see that I need to download the file you linked to, but do I need to save it to a certain place?

  9. Hahaha ok I had a feeling that's what it was. Ok, great. Should I re-install anyways considering if I save a DVD Flick project as just creating the ISO image I will need to start up IMGburn to actually burn it? Now just a couple general questions about IMGburn because this is all new to me. Before, I encoded a movie from .avi and it got through the burning phase but when it went to verify it stopped with an error. Unfortunately, I did not save the log. I know there could be a variety of factors causing this, but does the type of DVD disc often cause these issues? My DVD drive is Optiarc DVD +-RW AD-7580S and I burned at 4x speed. The discs were Sony DVD +R. I would burn it again to get a log, but I don't want to just waste a dvd. Also, now when I go to burn the ISO image again, do I just select write image from file and then just select the ISO image file? Anything else I need to do?
  10. Hi, new to the forums. I actually uninstalled imgburn (will be installing again), but when I ran DVD Flick (one time with burn DVD option selected and another with just creating ISO image) IMGBurn starts automatically. Can anyone help me out?
