  1. You gunna get more excited if it's a 3.x? Would that connote a bigger upgrade than 2.4.0.0?

Won't get it released any quicker, nor will it include any features that are not planned to be included :)

    Regards

I use Nero when I have to but its more fiddly insisting on multisession not finalising the disc ect

imgburn is quick and easy to use and gets used much more

Try making an imige with nero its messy, imgburn simple

  2. Not really. Media Player insists on having control of the drive. If Media Player is running, ImgBurn can't have exclusive access to the drive. It's one of the reasons I don't use Media Player. :)

just thought I would mention it in case anyone else was having the same problem and could not work out why

Still burns the disc ok as I don't go messing while its burning

  3. I guess Silicon Image aren't building their drivers properly then.

Seen a couple of instances where this API call fails and the machine shows signs of certain SI hardware / drivers).

I got the card cheap off ebay and had to flash the bios before it would reliably find the hard drive so thats not good.

Strange that they should cause a problem they are signed drivers

I hope that you apreciate knew this needed to go of the support forum and not the bug forum unlile most of the posts on that forum that are problems with discs or hardware setups and nothing to do with imgburn

  4. To bad :(. Thats the only thing the prog still is missing until its the ultimate burning prog!

Isnt it possible to make with another program a small somesort of fake iso like bin en cue files (the cue redirects to the bin file) but then to a folder and then open that file in the queue mode... or something like that...

I thought a send to queue button on the build mode window would do

  5. I had to format then reinstall windows

and on a clean system I am now getting this

    Image1.jpg

A certain other program tthat may are not have been written by the host of this forum comes up with a similar error also

thing is you click on cancel and to error goes away and there is nothing in the log file

if you change mode or exit the program it comes up again

it worked fine before the format just most of the other stuff I use did not

    any thoughts

  6. It's highly unlikely this will ever be implemented.

There are just too many options to consider for each 'build' and it would be a crap implementation if you couldn't vary the options between queued items.

seeing as I have never burned a duel layer dvd video disc what I would be looking for would be a simple implmentation of burning single layer video_ts folders taking the name from the folder above nothing more

  7. lol i ended up editing the registry, enabling the real administrator account and then logging in as that! Having to click 'yes' to everything I tried to do was driving me nuts too!

On the topic of Vista (but off topic from ImgBurn):

I still can't get the poxy file sharing to work how I want it though.

It's weird that when you install it and create that single admin account, it then uses that for the admin account if you try to access the admin shares (c$, d$ etc). So even when you try to connect to the vista PC using 'Administrator' as the name, it uses the name you created on the Vista box.

As I had no use for that account once I'd enabled Administrator, I deleted it. It could just be a generic thing but even when I recreate that account with the same password etc, I'm still denied access to the admin shares.

I just wanted to have a single username / password between my machines / virtual machines and let it do pass through authentication so I didn't have to enter names + passwords each time.

It works fine between xp / 2003 but vista just won't play nicely :(

My machines aren't in a domain or it would probably work ok.

If you have any thoughts on the matter I'd be happy to hear them!

how have you set up your net work is it public or private

if its private the security is more relaxed

  8. I am set as an administrator but it has been acting a bit odd

what I have read about Vista is that most of the time Administrator accounts run in standard mode only changing as required

Anyway I switched off UAP (it was driving me nuts) and no errors on imgburn close down

  9. Hmm can't say as I've seen that problem myself actually.

I installed Vista beta 2 (x86 version) the other day and I did find a couple of issues but that wasn't one of them.

Have all the windows closed when that happens? i.e. so that's the only thing you see that says 'ImgBurn' on it.

on my setup it happens if you start imgburn then shut it with nothing else running

  10. Not really img burns fault (microsoft must have changed something) but when you click on the close button of img burn in vista beta 2 you get I dialog that comes up

failed to set data for "

    just thought you should know

  11. maybe its the way imgburn work I am not sure but when you verify your burn all it does is verify that the disc can be read it does not check the disc against the image, well thre is no hard drive access anyway from the drive (external) where the image is
