  1. Filtered. Deleted. Pushing up daisies. Gone to meet their maker. One way or another, they are ex-parrots. I share your concern about the number of dialogue boxes though. Maybe some lateral thinking is called for. How about listing the number of filtered files in red in the pre-burn dialogue box?
  2. I try not to fiddle around with the options, so I don't think i've changed "Filter Folder Content", but at my age I wouldn't like to swear to it! Anyway, its turned off now. I would still recommend some kind of dialogue... ...I don't think passively deleting folks data is the future. Best regards, DaveBurner
  3. Whether or not JACKET_P is "holy" or not, I don't know. I had read somewhere, many moons ago, that this was the only place to put extra content as some players would complain if you put any other directories on the disc. Of course I can't find that posting now. Anyway, thats why we started doing it. Nevertheless, we have an archive of Video DVD's burnt with ImgBurn with all sorts of content in JACKET_P. I always specify ISO, Joliet & UDF file systems & let ImgBurn correct it with the... "Your image contains a VIDEO_TS folder... Would you like me to adjust the setting for you?" ...to which I reply "Yes", which gives peace of mind that ImgBurn has identified it as a Video DVD. Up to now, the content was always burnt as desired. Attached is a Screenshot of one. It was burnt with ImgBurn in October 2010. We have used nothing else for years. Obviously, there is some loophole there. Anyway, as Macbeth didn't say, "whether to JACKET_P or not to JACKET_P, thats not the question". What is the question, is that content is being silently skipped. I would suggest, at the very least, a dialogue to say that nn files are being skipped, Continue? yes/no. Better still, a dialogue to ask whether to burn them or not.
  4. Hi, my understanding is that JACKET_P is the pseudo-standard place to put extra stuff. I've been using it that way for years & ImgBurn has never caused problems before. Has something changed?
  5. Hi, I'm trying to burn a Video DVD, 3 Folders (AUDIO_TS, JACKET_P, VIDEO_TS). For some reason, the JACKET_P directory is burnt empty. (Burn Information-dialogue did not count the files) I've done this a thousand times in the past, never a problem. If I just burn JACKET_P it finds the contents ok. Am I doing something wrong? Overseen an option somewhere maybe? Best regards, DaveBurner
  6. ok, I don't buy much direct from them. The question was actually about the ISO9660 File-System. Do extension-less filenames end with a "." under ISO? (as I mentioned, I used IsoBuster to check this detail) If so, defaulting to "Allow Files Without Extensions" would be incorrect. Dave
  7. Hi, while building a Windows XP Installation Disc, the... "It looks like you may be trying to build an Operating System installation disc!" ...dialogue popped up. One of the suggested settings doesn't match my Dell original disc: "ISO9660 Allow Files Without Extensions" I used IsoBuster to view the ISO & Joliet contents of the disc. Under ISO, extension-less filenames end with a "." Under Joliet, they do not end with "." Its not a big deal, it installs whatever, but I guess whatever is closest to the original is best. Regards, Dave
  8. Thanks, thats just what the doctor ordered. Wouldn't it make sense to just use the properties of the physical media?

  14. I'm getting what would seem to be a spurious "Unable to find any cells that could be used for the layer break" message. The Log says... W 22:45:36 Unable to find any cells that could be used for the layer break! W 22:45:36 The layer break must be between sectors 1,551,254 and 2,086,912. W 22:45:36 Sector 1,551,254 falls within VTS_01 (Title), which starts at sector 97,847. W 22:45:36 Relative to the start of VTS_01 (Title), the layer break must be between sectors 1,453,407 and 1,989,065. W 22:45:36 Relative sector 1,453,407 falls within PGC 1, Cell 10, which starts at relative sector 1,337,047. W 22:45:36 Relative to the start of Cell 10, try splitting between sectors 116,360 (227.27 MB) and 652,018 (1,273.47 MB). According to VobBlanker VTS_01, Cell 10 starts at Sector 1,337,047 & ends at 1,580,217 (243,170 relative), thats a duration of 9:36.20, so breaking between Cells 10 & 11 should not be a problem. The DVD is altogether only 6.93 GB. ImgBurn seems to think Cell 10 is much longer than it actually is. Best regards, Dave Burner
