how does my drive only support 2.4 writing when I'm explaining that I've previously wrote @ 4x speed with the same drive on this same computer,

HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4163B A106 (ATA) drive information!, i'm using DVD +R DL Verbatim brand discs that can be burned @ up to 10x speed,i usually burn @ 4x speed with my drive, for some reason IMGburn is now only allowing me to write @ 2.4 speed, please can someone shed some insight on this???
