Well after updating to WXP SP3..... and searching around Process Explorer to no avail..........
And then stumblin around thru a fog of ImgBrn settings,.....i.e.turned off 'burn protection', tried resetting speed and think ended up with minimal 1.2x write setting??......etc....
Found another fresh Maxwell cheap 'Ritek' disc, and fired up ImgBrn again with same .iso file previously tried....
and guess I got volume to 'lock out' a defaulted que from Windows??..that showed up in task bar tray, just closed it.......... sorry folks can't recall all the dinking around.. but give you a log if you like...
So after a couple of diff errors... 'Command Sequence Error' and 'Power Calibration Area Error'??...... gave it another 'burn boot' and it finally burned me a working DVD Video (guess that's MPEG 2 video, by some standards)
So seems to have finally worked, with the only issue is the slide show just keeps replaying... suffer!!! or hit the kill switch........
So at this point I know I can now burn a DVD-Video that will play on a average home player... so beginners luck... now what, whys, and hows, I can only guess...
I have been trying to comprehend 'use and settings' in the IB guide-Help section, though still mostly greek to me.... maybe in time it'll all make more sense....
So for the curious onlookers here's the last log if you care to analyze and offer any insights... steep learning curve for me ...

Oh yeah......... it looks to me that I can build these .iso files right here in Image Burn program, and not deal with the Windows movie maker... or DVD Flick converter... long as I'm not concerned with WMM labeling and editing functions.... and would not need to convert jpeg type files, to iso files ahead of time... is that right??..
I guess the disadvantage would be no control over image duration and progression... that is, in the final product I may have to keep clicking thru the jpeg images with the player remote...???
all 'Constructive comments' welcome.... just no more 'auto response' grief from Kryten... get a life....rhetorically speaking......
thanks folks its a start.....
