No they weren't. Slysoft got shut down by authorities. 'being something before' implies a simple name change. That's not the case here.Ah yes, they were SlySoft before.
Former staff took started up redfox, after losing their slysoft job and restarted development on anydvd

You remember wrong. It's the same application, redfox just hosts the download. Vcd is exclusively developed and maintained by elaborate bytes.

It's exactly the same as booktype. The thing is, your drive has to support setting it, not all drives do (especially current ones). Maybe it's just good to upgrade the player. Modern ones shouldn't have any problem playing 'recordable' ones

Looks like the good stuff but based on the reviews CMC Magnetics (world's largest cheap crap disc manufacturer, who bought the entire verbatim portfolio) may be starting to fuck shit up. I'd try it but I wouldn't pick up more than 1 box to begin with.

I'd start with verbatim and JUST verbatim. Avoid anything with 'life series' on it. That's their budget line

Same answer as on Reddit. Memorex blanks aren't the best in quality
Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk -
It can't. That requires recoding of the audio and duplicating the mono track for stereo. That's not something imgburn is designed to do. It's a burn tool, not an audio processing tool.

You shouldn't need to. Imgburn should offer you to correct any incorrect settings if there are any for the disc structure you're telling it to burn.
If your iso contains a bdmv/certificate folder that's all it needs to burn a be. Imgburn should do the rest

This topic is a pain to read but a bdmv structure on a DVD is a valid format called bd5 or bd9 (depending if it's burned on a DVD 5 (single layer) or dvd9 (double layer).), but despite being burned on a DVD disc it's still Blu-ray content which makes it a Blu-ray. The problem here with 'unsupported disc' is that the player likely doesn't support bd5/9. Avchd is a lot more restricted format than a bd5/9

Here's my third vote, been using it for years

Maybe it has something to do with the cheap blanks you're using (cmcmag). But you can safely abort if you want. Verify just reads the disc and checks if it matches with the data it asked to burn, but verifying doesn't burn anything and aborting won't affect the already burned disc.

well the elby driver "locks" the drive entirely. No amount of pressing the eject button will kick the disc out, (havent actually tried the content menu, but i doubt it will do it).
As to the raid thing, perhaps something in the bios, DELL bios's are hardly ever optimized as they should (eg, instead of using AHCI, they're often set in IDE mode for hard drives)
As to your handle, well i guess you own the postcount here, over on the redfox forums i do. Don't know about our shared VSO forums, and i hardly ever visit the MR ones .
btw any chance of implementing HTTPS kinda mandatory under the GDPR @LIGHTNING UK!

Well considering the last release (before the buggy 5510) was in 2016. I can live with 1 tiny bug every 4 years
But for me personally, these are the main 2 reasons for using ElbyCDIO over SPTI
1. SPTI CANNOT lock drives for exclusive use (meaning if you accidentaly hit the eject button, which on occasion happens in my triple drive setup) the disc burning process would be interrupted and the disc ejected. With the elby driver, that can't happen. The drive gets locked for use until burning is completed and the drive released. You can manually hit eject all you want, it aint happening.
2. SPTI requires admin rights and above on NT/2000/XP/Vista..
21 hours ago, dbminter said:Info: HL-DT-ST BD-RE BU40N A102-01 (K:) (RAID)
That's another reason, this won't happen with elby driver. You can't (RAID) an optical drive :pbtw you the same dbminter over at the redfox forums?

way ahead of you. Fixes this too No more error message.
btw ElbyCDIO > SPTI

Care to elaborate where/what/how? I can then relay that to elby.

The second you click on burn, just before it actually starts burning data. Imgburn 'locks' the drive so it can't be accidentally ejected during the burning. (Which afaik is possible with Microsoft's SPTI io)

I had problems where it would report incomplete or incorrect info in the explore info. Already informed elby. Awaiting response.

Me too and it causes problems. Using "ElbyCDIO" under "File I/O" results in IMGBurn "failure to lock for exclusive access
Reason: The sytem cannot find the file specified." Reverting to 5500 doesn't fix the issue. and i'm not changing file IO.

It was. Either this one's a bit or a dupe account cause he forgot the login for the other one

That's because they serve a 'download manager's that then downloads the actual setup. Always has been.

Actually if I remember correctly, windows defender scored pretty high ok the last anti-virus products test that compared over 40 different ones. I believe it ended up in the top 5 or very least top 10.
It's come a long way since its first release.

I actually tried fixing that years ago Got overruled and undone. That article is wrong on numerous other things.
Redfox isn't a company, it's a project. Being a company requires having an office and a bank account. Which they don't have. It also requires a central location, which they don't have either, redfox isn't located anywhere and definitely not in Belize. That's where the domain is registered but it ends there.

Look for the edit listing for December 5th, 2016.
I can guarantee you they article is outdated. I've been translating anydvd for years, so I've got a bit more knowledge to this that that stupid outdated article.
