  1. Please don't hijack threads, it just confuses people (me!).

Look for a firmware update for your matshita drive or buy another one - I've never seen a decent matshita drive yet.

It confused me as well LUK. I didn't realize that it was someone else. blush.gif

  2. Thx mj for getting back ... am already looking for them and should have this wkend...will post result.

Any spectulation if still the same ... gut feeling is that results will be the same.

Let us know how it went with them after you've had a chance to try a few.

  3. The first error you get is the real one.

The retries almost always give you something different.

In your case, the real one is:

    W 11:42:14 Failed to Write Sectors 3411168 - 3411199 - Write Error

So your drive just failed to burn to the disc.

As lfc said, this is because you're using cheapo double layer media. Verbatim media might cost more but then you don't end up throwing it in the bin. As with most things in life, you get what you pay for.

btw, you do not need to manually specify the layer break position in the settings, put that option back on 'Automatic' and just let ImgBurn read the value from the .DVD file.

Similar problem here again, burnt 4 or 5 disk without any problems and now fubarred 2 disks, 1 last night and 1 just now.

All burns using Verbatim+R D/L disks. Here's a copy of the last log file:

    thanks again

I'm not sure if this is part of your problem but 1x is not a correct write speed for your discs. In your first log you had the write speed set to 2.4x and you wrote to Layer 0 but had problems with Layer 1. Now, with the write speed set a 1x you failed to even burn the first layer.

In addition you did not take LUK's advice when he said "you do not need to manually specify the layer break position in the settings, put that option back on 'Automatic' and just let ImgBurn read the value from the .DVD file."

  4. Btw I am glad to see you found your breasts mate !! :w00t:

So am I..... Thanks to Maritimer............ :P

Wow !!! I never realised your av was Maritimer !!!!

Movie junkie has been to smilie central and infested his op with spyware

??? I never heard of the place. Am I missing something??

I think donta is suggesting that you have downloaded some smilies from the internet and probably grabbed some spyware as well :P

Thanks for the explanation. I don't do downloads like that. Most of my smilies come from a Firefox extension.

I can honestly say that in all of the years I had computers (almost 20) I have never been hit by a virus, trojan, spyware or any other malware.

  5. I am having a nightmare. I am trying to burn image files for my Xbox 360. I am using Mirror DVD+R DL Inkjet Printable Disks and Imgburn 2.1.0.0 and my DVD Burner is a pioneer 111d and the Firmware is 1.29. I have read many forums that discus various issues regarding the burning of image files and the vast majority say that Verbatim disks are the be all and end all, this may be so, but what confuses me even more is that I have burned one disk off successfully. If I hadn't burned, I could understand... hence why I am asking for ANY help that is available. My log file is as follows:

    I 18:52:42 Destination Device: [0:0:0] PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-111D 1.29 (G:) (ATA)

    I 18:52:42 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: RICOHJPN-D00-01) (Speeds: 2.4x)

If it is of any help, the write gets to appr 57% (just as it starts to write layer 1) and then it all wrong!! I have also attached 3 screenshots of the errors if that is of any help. Out of 15 disks, I have 1 backed up game to show for it... are these good odds? Or should I fund my burning habit by selling "nice shiney coasters" on ebay? Thanks for any help in advance.

Hi menace; Glad to have you with the ImgBurn forum.

Your firmware appears to be up to date but your choice of media is no good. You should be using nothing but Verbatim DVD+R DL discs. The problem is that according to your log your drive will not burn + media. DO NOT TRY TO USE Verbatim DVD-R DL discs. Do you have another burner you could use?

  6. I saw on the news that he used to "drill" his musicians to be perfect on stage - backs up what you found with the performance Nemesis
I've read that Johnny Mathis is like that as well.
  7. I'm trying to copy a DVD and when I get to the final steps, after the DVD is loaded in the computer I can not find the burn device. I tried on laptop first, then desktop which already has a Nero progam and aSony DVD burner on it. What can I do? Please help.

    Welcome to the ImgBurn forum ECZ3;

We need more information. What are all of the steps you've taken? If you have a log file please post it.
