  1. Yeah, I tried them in my old rig and the ones I hadn't tried to erase in the new one erased fine. They now work on my new rig. The ones I erased before didn't work at all. The system knew there was a disc but couldn't read it at all. So I guess my advice would be to erase all the discs you want to use with your new system.
  2. I keep all my drivers up to date. My m/b is Foxconn P9657AB-8EKRS2H. I know it's an old board but have you heard of any problems like this? So far I've checked for problems with everything I can think of: drives, cables, power, cards, RAM, ventilation, drivers, programs. I just thought of something: I have my old rig set up elsewhere. I'll be out there in a couple of weeks. I'll see if I can make them work on it. If not, then 86. Like I said it's more a curiosity.
  3. Sorry, it's been awhile since I've responded... No, it has nothing to do with that, since ALL of them did it at the same time. Maybe since I changed my board? I have noticed also that this new one also reads in discs much more slowly than my last one. It worked the same way with XP as when I upgraded to Win 7 32 (after I noticed the trend).
  4. This is mostly a curiosity since I rarely use them. I am unable to erase my Sony RW's. I've noticed this odd trend for years since using cd-rw's. They work for a few months, then they won't erase/write.
