  1. Well I finally grew some and just burned it to a Verbatim BD-R DL and it was fine so yes it was the media which was a brand new fully packaged single jewel case Panasonic BD-RE DL Disc Id: MEI-T01-01 Also, it burned much slower at 0.9x or so instead of 2x which I have seen mentioned before about RE discs unless you do the full format which also takes 3 hours anyway though. Almost seems like RE DL aren't worth it as they are slower and some dont work. Figured it would save me a coaster but all it did was waste several days worth in hours and probably wear out my burner with like 20 unneccesary burns. I ordered a Sony bd-re dl and if that one doens't work then i'm done with re dl's for now. Again, I do it to ensure the file is ok to burn and works so as not to wasste a non re into a coaster, but the 3 hrs it takes to burn an re dl because they seem to burn slower (at least if htere is something on teh disc but even the time i did the full 3 hr format I dont remember it being any quicker on the subsequent burn) end result is that Disc Id: MEI-T01-01 do not work with Pioneer BDR-205. problem is not only did I not know that but I woulnd't have known that the Panasonic bd-re dl was that disc id and id ont have the packaging for it anymroe so id ont even know the model # of the pan disc. sucked that I had to figure this out on my own that quite simply that disc id just doesn't work on the bdr-205, as noone ever mentioned in anyof the places I asked what could be causing the Internal Target Error.
  2. My Panasonic BD-RE DL with media id: MEI-T01-01 was fully wrapped and sealed but still didn't work
  3. are any of these bd-re dl? the Panasonic I have it MEI-T01-01 2x so i guess thast the same as the one ending 001 you have listed there and funy Pioneer rcommends those when thats the one not working for me and looks like others reported the same. still i have not got any reply from you or anyone else on any of the threads I posted about this Internal Target error) i'm hoping its just a bad bd-re dl but i'm still afraid to risk a non re dl disc but with no other answer or knowing of anythign is hould be doing or changing or updating etc. i figure I mine as well try it, then at least I'll know my burner can't do dl discs or something right now till i fix somerthing i have successfuly burned a dl before awhile back but I think i kind of do remember it getting the clicking at the end and taking a long time but then finishes and in standalone player it didn't read it at first or didn't play but then i hit something and got it to start so while a bit shaky I have at least burned a dl at least once that worked even if it did seem to have a glitch when I first put it in. that makes me think something is wrong with my burner or setup for doing dl discs in general. and i guess the mei-t01-01 is just even worse. I've read some stuff about the Pioneer BDR-205 having trouble wiht dl's or thinking its not capable of dl's or stuff like but never really saw how to fix it or what to look for.
  4. 06:12:23 Failed to Write Sectors 12148768 - 12148799 - Reason: Unknown (Internal Target Failure) (ASC: 0x44, ASCQ: 0xE0) Once again for the 50th time at around 63% I give up. i'm still afraid to risk a non re dl but I can't keep trying this my only bd-re dl so i'm going to try a non re later and just hope it works. at least then I will know it was a bad disc or just that my setup is having trouble with dl media in general. if that is the case, what would cause my burner which is capable of burning dl media to not be able to properly?
  5. can you guys recommend a good BD-RE DL that will work with Pio BDR-205 and not have any problems because this was pure torture trying to burn an iso to this MEI-T01-01 as it wouldn't fail until 60 some % and would take 3 hrs each try multiplied by like 20 tries. my burner may be shot from just trying this disk so many times so i guess its time to give up and try a new bd-re dl and hope its not my burner or something else.
  6. repeated failures with Disc Id: MEI-T01-01 so after seeing other posts mentioning this disc id/media id was bad I think it might be that mine was in the form of a Panasonic BD-RE DL which was individually wrapped so I was sure its a good disc as I never had any problems with panasonic bd-re (sl) and bd-r. can't remember where i got it from either to try and return but I will try and look it up. meantime I need to get a new bd-re dl because I only keep one and use it to test burns first to make sure they are good before putting on bd-r dl. this disk made me think the iso was bad but if I dont feel like waiting for a new bd-re dl i should just be gutsy and use a bd-r dl and hope i dont get a coaster cus it looks like the culprit is this disk not my burner , the iso or anything else.
  7. 8. Help me Lightning UK Kenobi you're my only hope. (or anyone else that knows what might be causing this for that matter) I have tried burning to this bd-re dl 20 times now and it keeps feeling around 62-67% so this thread seemed the closest to my problem without starting a new one though i've read a few and other troubleshooting online. This threads solution seems to involved the hard drive but I dont think that is my problem. I think something is wrong with my burner that it just can't do bd-r dl and especially not bd-re dl because I have burned at least one bd-r dl awhile back and though I remember it having some problem and I think it got the same ticking sound and erros but it finished and the disc worked. bd-re and bd-r (both 25gb therefore) work fine but i think its having trouble with bd-r dl in genearl and again especially bd-re dl. around 60% or higher it gets read errors (internal target failure) so I think it just can't burn to the second layer really. I 19:49:32 Shutting down SPTI... I 19:49:32 ImgBurn closed! I did the full disck erase/format zeroing out all the sectors which took a long time and it still didn't work. Very frustrating to attempt a 3 hour burn on this so many times just for the drive to click and it to get errors in teh 60's%. I read the thread about formating the disk and others. The only thing I haven't tried is checking the bios or other settings pertaining to the drive. what would cause this to happen over and over again? I don't want to attempt a non re bd-r dl just to make a coaster so I want to make sure I have this working on my one bd-re dl first but its killing to adjust or change one thing and try another 3 hour burn only for it to go that much and more in some cases like 3 hours 55 minutes as you see from the above log. and yes that log is when I still had driver fw 1,08 for the pioneer bdr-205 but updating to 1.09 didn't help nor did doing a full 3 hour format of the bd-re dl. so there has been so many attempts all taking 3 hours only to fail that this is very draining. please help. oh and the disc is a Panasonic bd-re dl Disc ID: MEI-T01-01 and i've used Panasonic bd-re and bd-r (both sl) and worked great and I thin Panasonic media is good qualithy in general. I do have verbatim bd-r dl but dont want to coaster one if bd dl's aren't working re or non re. what settings should I be checking or what in my computer can I be checking or setting properly? what could be causing this so I can narrow it down without just trying one thing and then another 3 hour burn only for it to fail at 62% or there about. please help, as I am ready to give up because there are too many possibilities I feel like it could be and dont know where to even begin short of what i've already done and cannot bare to do another 3 hour burn just for it to fail. there has to be a way to narrow down what the problem is and its probably one small simple thing like a bad disk or drive set wrong somehow. but something is definately not working on the second layer.
