  1. Try BD-Rebuilder. jdobbs - Free & a great program. http://www.jdobbs.net/ Import the mp4 (top command row = File, Import, Video Files) and specify a BD output folder. Then you can use imgburn to burn the created BD-R file structure. . Do some testing with BD-RE media first.
  2. A suggestion: Maybe someday you could add a check for BD-4k read and/or write capabilities?
  3. As I reported in the "try here" referenced thread, your procedure seems to have worked perfectly for me. Many thanks!!

    Really?

Many thanks for this procedure. My brother is a guitar player in a band, and he played a gig recently (2 sets). He sent me both sets of songs as M4As. I was able to install the AAC plugin for the M4As, as recommended elsewhere in this forum and followed the procedure above to build a cue file consistenting of the audio tracks in the first session followed by the native M4As in the 2nd (I wanted to do this to increase the chances I would not lose my brothers music). It worked prefectly. Many thanks!
  5. I just read about imgburn's ability to successfully create a multi-session image from an enhanced cd, and then burn that enhanced cd image back to disc - but I still cannot find a way to create an enhanced cd from scratch with imgburn. Has anyone successfully done this and be willing to share the steps they followed? I have another program that is able to create an enhanced cd, but inisists on writing the first session in TAO mode, inserting 2 second gaps between audio tracks (which isn't appropriate when songs flow directly into one another). Many thanks.
  6. Maybe I am not searching correctly or not understanding what I am reading, but I am still in no mans land . . . . As I understand an "enhanced cd", I need to: 1. burn whatever number of standard audio tracks in session at once (SAO) mode (to avoid 2 second gaps between tracks) 2. close that track & session (leaving the disc open) 3. burn the data files track as the 2nd session 4. and then close that session & the disc. Is that possible using imgburn? I do not see where there is some preset way to do this, but is it possible to do it in separate user controlled steps?
  7. I will search again . . many thanks for jumping in while traveling . . if anyone else can point me in the right direction, kindly do so. Thanks again.
  8. I am trying to create a standard CD from a bunch of mp3's, along with a 2nd session with the native mp3's, cover art, images, notes, etc. I don't see any preprogrammed way to do this in Imgburn, so I expect my best best is to create a cue file with no gaps between songs, & write it to disc/image in SAO mode, then add the data session afterwards, then close the disc? But the program and guides seem to suggest SAO & DAO are the same (which, of course, they are not). I am open to experiment with any suggestions. Many thanks for a truly superb & reliable program!
  9. Yeah - I checked that - and it has the most recent firmware. Of course I have no idea if this media code is even supported specifically in that firmware or if the drive is just using defaults or whatever Lite-On's Smartburn or Hyper Tuning develops. I keep Smartburn enabled, but Hyper Tuning & OPC were disabled. Next time I test - OPC will definitely be enabled but not sure how Hyper Tuning should be set. Thanks.
  10. If some discs work and others fail the manufacturer has a quality control problem. We have never recommended buying cheap media due to the fact that mostly it's junk and causes more problems than you can believe. Stick with what works for your system/device and firmware and you'll be a happy camper. I understand what you are saying. The first 25 disc spindle of this media worked perfectly - which is why I grabbed 2 more when they were on sale. It wasn't until the very last disc in the first spindle that problems started. That's why I thought maybe there was a setting somewhere that would force the drive to reconfigure for this media instead of using whatever default write strategy it is using.
  11. Let me start by saying Imgburn is a superb program and I am so thankful to have access to it. I have a Lite-On iHBS112 (CL0K firmware) in my system and use Imgburn to burn media and am having a problem that maybe someone has some ideas about. I picked up and used a spindle of Merax 1-4x BD-R media with no problems - until the very last disc in the spindle. It failed very early on, I think because it might have been damaged being the bottom disc in the spindle. The media appears to be Opto? See below: Disc ID: OTCBDR-001-000 Disc Type: BD-R Disc Size: 120mm Disc Class: 0 Disc Version: 1 Number of Layers: 1 I opened up a new spindle of this same media, and a write operation almost immediately failed. I tried again, thinking a bad disc, but it failed again. I switched to different BD-R media (Ritek) and they worked perfectly. I also use some Fuji BD-RE media which has also consistently worked perfectly. When the Ritek media was finished, I went back to the Merax media spindle - and the attempt to write immediately failed. It loads the disc, says it has gone into "writing lead-in" but then throws an error message saying it cannot write. E 09:48:03 Operation Failed! - Duration: 00:01:39 Subsequently I opened a spindle of Imation media (which turns out to be Ritek) and they burn perfectly. I'm wondering if somehow something has been set inside the firmware due to the bad disc - and now it trashes every media with that OTCBDR-001-000 code? Or maybe I simply had a bad media at the end of the 1st spindle I used of this and the 2nd spindle is also bad? Of course I also have a 3rd spindle of this same stuff (it was on sale). Meritline blew me off because I did not run into this issue right away. I have a message to Merax out with no response yet (I always figured Merax was probably simply a house brand for Meritline, but other stores seem to carry Merax also). I read elsewhere that enabling OPC in Imgburn might force the drive to re-analyze the media maybe? Any other setting suggestions to give this media a fresh start/chance in this drive before I have to trash 2 25 disc spindles? Any ideas or thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  12. Thanks. I am running v.2500. I just found and read that FAQ post. The only "older" drive on the system is a Plextor Plexwriter Premium. Think that is the issue? It's a bit strange since the problem does not happen all the time - maybe 50% of the time I launch Imgburn to use. If I reboot the system - then Imgburn will launch and get past this issue with no problems 99% of the time. If I execute the debug mode registry update, should I then disable it afterwards? How? Thanks - I really value Imgburn as it has been the best and most reliable burner for me until this problem began occurring. ----------------------------- Update: Here's the filter driver load order - and the program did not hang up on the device search this time . . . =============================================== Filter Driver Load Order - ImgBurn v2.5.0.0 =============================================== Upper Device Filter: redbook Upper Class Filter: [None Found] Device: CD/DVD-ROM Device Lower Class Filter: DLACDBHM Lower Class Filter: ElbyDelay Lower Class Filter: DRVMCDB Lower Class Filter: ElbyCDFL Lower Class Filter: PxHelp20 Lower Device Filter: imapi Filter Name: redbook File Name: C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\redbook.sys File Version: 5.1.2600.5512 (xpsp.080413-2108) File Description: Redbook Audio Filter Driver Product Name: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System Product Version: 5.1.2600.5512 Company Name: Microsoft Corporation Copyright: © Microsoft Corporation. 13. I frequently run into the problem of Imgburn hanging up once "Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices..." begins. It will not complete and usually refuses to cancel out the program even via Task Manager (Windows XP/sp3). Another older program that used to be available from LighteningUK also exhibits this behavior sometimes. If I force a reboot and launch Imgburn again - it usually proceeds just fine. Other programs that use my optical drives/burners do not exhibit this problem. Any ideas what might be causing this? Thanks.
