go to the website of the motherboard you have and get the latest storage drivers for it
-
are they singapore or india verbs?
-
the booktype wont change until you actually burn it
-
ricoh is the disc id and nothing to do with the booktype setting of your drive
-
your drive is an oem lite on http://www.videohelp.com/dvdwriters/sony-dw-q58a/1309
-
did you try the lite on tab?
-
this is beyond the scope of imgburn
check here
-
it can burn them at 8x if the drive supports it
(wouldn't recommend it though)
-
-
this is not the support forum for dvd flick
-
A straight 1:1 copy of a disc will be 110% the same as the original.
that'd be why then, the copy will be 10 % better than the original
to the o.p. - i do mean this just for fun
-
try with either verbatim or taiyo yuden discs,
you could also try at 8x, but the discs you have aren't good
-
just ditch the riteks in a bin and buy some verbatims (MKM 001 made in singapore), it will save you a lot of time and grief in the long run.
-
dvddecrypter forums were closed down for legal reasons , that is why no talk/discussion about decrypting is allowed on the imgburn support forums.
imgburn has moved on in leaps and bounds since decrypter, lots of great new functions , language support , building iso's from vob files , cd audio amongst lots of other things (check the changelogs)
please leave talk of decrypting out of your questions and respect the author of the programme,
-
i would find some verbatims and try again , ritek aren't very good any more
-
do you have a dvd burner?
please post a log
-
it does work , you must be doing something wrong

Drive Test
in Chat
the best way to test the drive is to buy some quality media and burn it, then scan the burns to see how good the burn quality is, use the media section for scan references, if the scans on quality media match the scans posted in the drives and media section then you can draw your own conclusions from them
-
with speeds that slow i would follow the faq about resetting dma, it only takes 5 minutes
-
-
just try getting some MKM 001 , you have MKM 003.
i dont have a 5170 so i cant comment on that but the 111D had served me well
-
there are often problems with these discs and various drives, some like them some dont, the best ones to use are MKM 001 made in singapore and not the ones made in india
-
have you tried writing at 4 or 6x ?
-
use read mode , then change to write mode and burn the iso
Latest version of ImgBurn doesnt support Ubunutu 8.04.1
