  1. I am capturing old videotapes in mpg2 files. I can edit them with other programs. How can I convert so that I can burn with IMGBurn and then see them on a standard DVD player? What do I convert them to? The files range around 3 GB but are 90 minutes plus in length. Thank you.
  2. I haved used IMG a long time successfully but I just updated to 2.5. I just tried to burn some family videos and none of them will play on any DVD players. The files were originally mpg files. I used "build" to prepare them for burning. Is this correct? I then used "write" to burn the dvds. There wasn't any problem noted but now the Dvds will not play in any players. I used both Sony and Phillips blanks. The files weren't too big according to the screen info. (ran into that once and had to go to DL). I am using Vista Home. I am just wondering if I need to make an output change. OOPS. Forgot to say that at this same time I am burning similar files using Video Studio 12 to edit and menu. These are working fine.
  3. I can't seem to even search to see if there are any existing posts for this. Is there any way to transfer Directv dvr recordings to pc and then to burn onto dvd?
  4. I read your guide on how to rip double layer discs and will do that if necessary. Is there any way to go from a double layer source to a single layer target? Is this even an OK idea or should I just get some double layer discs? Thanks for your help already.
  5. I am getting an error message of invalid field in CDB. What does this mean? I am also being told that the file is too large for the disc. 3,877,508 sectors (7,573 MB) vs. disc size of 2,298,496 sectors (4,489 MB). Is it possible that a commercial (Eric Clapton) DVD is double layer? Could that be the problem?
