Thx for the help. Tried a Verbatim, with the same error. Could this be a problem with the drive connections? After receiving the last error, my computer is no longer detecting the drive or opening the disc tray, even after a restart and scanning for hardware changes.

I don't know what you are implying. It might be more beneficial to people if you just helped rather than police them though.

Is that 100% what the problem is? Because I've already spent over 100 bucks on discs trying both of these brands, and I don't want to go buy another ridiculously overpriced spindle only to have the same thing happen...

Hello, I have been getting these errors very regularly and I have no idea what I am doing wrong. If somebody could please point me to a solution, I would greatly appreciate it. Thx! By the way, I am using a week old computer/writer, and I have flashed my writer to the newest firmware. Getting these errors with Memorex DL discs as well as with the Philips DL discs. Thx again.
