  2. Actually the size of the file folder is 7.70GB not 770mb my mistake sorry lead you astray. So as you see the VIDEO_TS is actually 7.70GB so a dual Layer disc is needed. Justin
  3. its not big enough to write to dual layer. looks like it is an avi file or something, you will have to convert to dvd compliant first. Well I don't understand why that would be the problem because the VIDEO_TS folder was written out by NERO and has all the apropriate .VOB .IFO .BUP files there is nothing else added to this folder.
  4. I created these family video archives using NERO I wrote a image to Disc first and now I intend to write this to a DVD but when I start to build it to disc I get this warning. "Unable to find any cells that could be used for the layer break! Now would be a good time to start crying, because technically, this is the end of the world. Do you want to continue anyway?" I proceeded to write these just to see what would happen. Can someone please tell me how I can write this file without this warning. VIDEO_TS size = 7.70GB Image burn Version 2.3.2.0 Writing to Verbatim DVD+R DL Thank you Justin.
  5. Has anyone experienced this, I have PAL VHS tapes that I am transcoding into NTSC I am then using this NTSC footage to make my "PAL DVD". So it is going from PAL to NTSC back to PAL. Should I expect to see audio slippage ? or should the conversion process account for this ? maybe the audio sinc issue is happening at some other point in the work flow .. Just in case you are wondering why I am working this way here is a brief explanation: I live in the US my VHS tapes are PAL so I burn the VHS onto NTSC DVD so I can then view them on my US TV, I then copy the .vob files onto my laptop and edit them into a PAL DVD. Justin.
  6. I started this thread saying that my "DVD won't play on DVD player ?" Well I stand corrected I have since tryed to play the same DVD again it it now works fine, so it goes to show you need to check things multiple times before you ask for help. Justin..
  7. Thanks for writing back, I have updated my firmware what advantages will this give ? The more important question is which media type should I have selected ? considering I am writing to a DVD+R DL these are the options I am given by imgburn: CD-RW DVD-RW DVD+RW DVD-RAM BD-RE HD DVD-RW HD DVD-RAM Which one should I have picked for my media ?

  9. Hi, I am archiving my family videos using Nero so I have nice menus and chapters, I wrote out the Nero project to Hard drive (I believe it is called a image file) this process makes a folder called a VIDEO_TS and in this folder are .BUP .IFO .VOB files. Using Image burn I write these files to a DVD+R DL (project it 7.50GB) everything seems to work perfectly and I can watch these DVDs with Windows Media Player but my DVD player won't play the DVD. ? ! I know that my DVD player will read these DVD+R DL disc's as it has read them before. Does Nero need to make another file so the DVD player will be able to read it or does ImgBurn need a special option turned on for this to work ? Any ideas to solve this problem would be very helpful. Thank you. Justin.
