I just registered because I've been having some trouble lately.
For some days ago I bought a new drive to my computer (AD-7170S) hoping it would work better than my old LG drive and also to get rid of IDE-cables in my computer.
The media I'm using is Premium with the media code: SONY08D1.
Problems: It says "Disc not empty" or it'll have write retries when burning lead-in which I think causing the a very long loading time for my computer and my DVD-player to load the disc(5min+) in some way.
I have the newest firmware but not a cracked version.
Notes: My previous drive had similar problems
