  1. The disk does look written to as there is an obvious burn section. In another drive (laptop internal) it also thinks it is a blank.

  3. I am now using the latest version of Img Burn and I have upgraded the drives firmware as you suggested. I have also set the burn speed to 12x as recommended. I am still having the same problem, I realise that you say this is not a problem with Img Burn but it has never let me down before. I also tried to burn a different video and the same thing happened. 4. I have burnt this particular video before with no problems, after upgrading to the latest version of Img Burn the disk appears to burn but at the verify stage it fails. 5. Hi I am looking to buy a samsung dvd burner, I need it to be able to set booktype to DVD-ROM. Will any Samsung drive booktype with IMG burn? Also does the same go for Samsung Blu-Ray burners?
  6. Hi, I have been burning +RDL Media on my friends laptop to get the DVD-ROM format. I should really buy my own burner so can anyone suggest the best make and model please. Thanks.
  7. I do verify my burns and is ok. I have used the player to play dual layer dvd purchased in shops before. If you are sure my burner will work would it be possible to give me exact instructions as to how to burn in DVD-ROM. I am just about to try again. Many thanks for your quick responses.
  8. Well do you have any ideas on why it fails to play. And do I build with the output on device or image file?
  9. Hi, I am trying to burn a wedding video onto a dual layer DVD+R, it plays fine in new machines but will not in older players. I beleive this is down to the booktype/bitsetting that needs to be changed to DVD-ROM. I have a Samsung NP-Q35 with a TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-L632D burner. I created a VIDEO_TS file in my burn software (DVD Architect) and then using IMG DVD to burn the disk. Once I have "Built" it and chosen a layer break I go to write mode and choose change booktype. I go to Samsung and choose Drive (For DVD+R DL Media), the current setting shows "Unknown (Drive dosen't report it!)". I choose a new setting of DVD-ROM and click change. Sucsess is displayed. I then click OK and start the burn. Everything goes fine but I still have the same problem with playing in older dvd players. I am convinced it is a booktype issue and my drive will not change it, either that or I'm doing something wrong. I have put the log below, any help would be great, and if it is my burner could anyone reccomend a burner that will allow booktype changing within IMGBurn.
