Use different discs, you drive doesn't like those.

Updating the firmware on the drive might help though - http://www.firmwarehq.com/download_1271-fi...2A_20e.exe.html

Hello LIGHTNING UK,

Thanks for the download info,( Much Appreciated.) But still receive the same error message. Just tried with DVD-R works perfect, no problems.Does this mean that my drive doesn't like DVD-RW or the make of the disk ( EMTEC.) My DVD-r disks are MediaRange MCC 03RG20. My DVD-r disks are x16, Should I burn at this speed or is x8 speed better for quality.

Badcompany.

or if you want something not so expensive: Philips or Memorex.

Don't be tempted - go for the Verbatims.

And next time:

1. Include your log

2. Read the FAQ and guides

Regards

Further to Lightning UK!'s comment about your drive being pretty ancient now, I think you'll find it only supports burning DVD-R at 4x maximum anyway, so whether you choose 8x or 16x makes no difference, the fastest it will burn them is 4x.

Next time you insert a disc, with ImgBurn in write mode, look at the info panel for 'Supported Write Speeds'.
