My Toshiba player is an external carousel 5 disc CD/DVD player, my burner I think is a Phillips. I used DVD Shrink to save the VOB, BUP, IFO files on my computer. I did search the Imgburn site. I see that the Imgburn finalizes all burns and no way to turn it off, so that is not the problem. I see that Imgburn cannot burn in multiple sessions, so that is not the problem. My Toshiba external player accepts DVD-R formats, Iam using blank -r DVDs, I never had a problem with them before. I will double check the Booktype settings. Seeing that I do not have a Toshiba burner, I do not see how downloading the Toshiba UDF driver will reslove my problem.

Make sure you include a copy of the program's log in your post. No log = chair.gif

Thanks for the tip about the burn log. I did a copy last night and it played in my external Toshiba DVD player. I did notice one thing in the burn log. I have AnyDVD on my computer. The log indicated that AnyDVD can interfere with the verification process. I will make sure I exit AnyDVD before writing to the disc. I will do some comparisons with other burn logs and see if I can identify where the error was. I have a philips DVD+-RW8631 burner, would it be beneficial to update the firmware?

The log is fine. Seems you have the latest firmware already installed for the Philips. According to this. Sure is kinda old now, but...

You could try a cleaning disc on the player. Or try other brand of discs.

Other burned or pressed original disc plays fine on external player?
