Dual Layer Burning Issues

I've been trying to download and burn a 360 Game, but I've been unsuccessful every time I've tried. I've wasted about 7 blank discs and I don't know what the problem is. I was told to change my write speed at 2.4x, but I've done this before with 4x about a year ago, before my Xbox got banned. I'm not sure if that is the reason for the problem which is why I'm here. I am using Memorex DVD+R DL Discs and I've tried two different ISO's and 7 total tries. None of them worked. This is the log for the burn. (For the last two tries, I changed the book setting to DVD-ROM, not sure if that matters, this is the log for the last time I tried to burn it)Also, I checked off Verify once, and it stopped at 50% and gave me a message about an I/O Error, not really sure what it is

I would have no problem accepting that theory if I wasn't able to burn them using these discs before :(. I'll admit, I made a few coasters when I used to burn them about a year ago, but after the second try they would pretty much always work, and I'm using the exact same discs I was before. I'll try out the verbatims anyway though, thanks.

That's exactly the problem with dual-layer media: the quality of the batch is anyone's guess. Verbatim is the only one that keeps their qualitty and that's why they won't when others don't. Google dual-layer media quality and you'll see that it's not just us saying that.

Also update to the latest firmware for your burner, as per the post spinningwheel pointed you to.
